Put me in the camp that says Quinn Ewers is the quarterback we need. Get him and there's zero drop off from Cam Ward IMO. Anyone who thinks Mendoza or anyone besides maybe Mateer is even close to that level is crazy IMO. Not even close in terms of talent. Ewers would keep our offense in the Top 5. Get some better players on defense and we're cooking.

Of course that would take a lot of money so it's probably not happening but that's the path if you want to compete in 2025

• Factetimed w/ Brady & Gronk (UNC)/Mayfield (OU)/Cam (UM)
• Miami & UNC aggressively pursued him once he was in the portal
• Mateer had multiple $3m+ NIL offers (implies we were likely one of those)
• UNC offered most "the largest deal in NIL history"
