And i don't think its a does emory deserve a chance situation, who cares. Its simply is he good enough for us to compete at a high level? I don’t think he is, so **** near any qb who has proven to be solid at the p4 level is miles better to me

we have too many holes on this roster to be led by a game manager. plain and simple. its like people forgot the QB carried us the entire season this year

Exactly!!! Emory shouldn’t play here at all but i would be waaayyyy more comfortable if he had all of the weapons on offense that we had this past season

In my opinion Dawson has had some very questionable QB evaluations over the years so I have concern. I believe in Emory, but until he is back playing in games, we just don't know how he has progressed. Like it or not, Mendoza and Moss are the top options in the portal at this moment. Mateer isn't in and played in the MWC, not P5 like Cam did for 2 years. I definitely still have questions about Mateer's passing.

All 2-3 wins better, at a minimum, than Emory too.

If the coaches aren't exceedingly confident they get Mateer, I think there has to be a guy out there who hasn't jumped in the portal that they're sure they will get if need be. That guy will either be similar talent wise to the 3 you mentioned or a notch above. Miss on Mateer; roll with Emory is too absurd an outcome for me to even entertain any longer. Miss on Mateer; get Murphy/run it back with TVD/some other turrible solution would be an irresponsible gamble IMO and we shoulda just locked up one of the 3 on your list or someone like Arnold.
