QBS in the Portal as of 11/28

I’m not sold that he’s such an upgrade over Emory. I think if that’s the QB option then I’d rather see the money spent on two starting higher quality CBs
I agree. I'm willing to give Mario the benefit of the doubt. But I just haven't seen any evidence he's going that route at CB.

I think Mendoza is Emory's ceiling. That's best case scenario for him, and I don't think he'll hit it.

People act like Emory was an underrated hidden gem. But he was supposed to be the second QB we took in that class. We took Jacurri the class before his and Judd the class after. There was literally no competition. Best of the worst is still bad.

I just don't see how we can start Mendoza or Emory without making major changes to our offensive philosophy.

Can anyone name 1 advantage Oklahoma provides other than continuity with his OC?

Very highly debatable if Arbuckle (who I like) is even an advantage to Dawson who just keeps pumping out NFL QBs, a number 1 offense, and has credit for identifying multiple lower rated guys that he didn’t get to coach (Mac Jones and Stetson Bennett).

WR - Miami (do they even have any?)
OL - Not even close - Miami
RB - not even close - Miami
TE - not even close - Miami

Not to mention NIL and additional NIL opportunities. Plus Miami >

The only other advantage is 3 letters on the left chest of the jerseys

Unless Emory becomes much more athletic he will find it hard to get to Mendoza's level.

I heard Mendoza ran for 1st downs twenty times this season.

To this point he has shown to be a much better athlete than Emory.

Maybe Emory is in the lab working on it

You’re probably right about Emory but same time while Mendoza has been playing, Emory has been sitting behind Cam

Truth is we haven’t seen Emory really since he broke his arm against FSU. Stands to reason he could have gotten better since then but we don’t really know

But the last part is definitely true but our coaches obviously feel the same being all in on Mateer
