QB1 Controversy????

TVD shouldn't still be learning anything at this point right?

Certainly not checkdowns.

So a Qb with a couple years of college experience is a finished product? I would hope he can keep getting better. QB’s learn their entire career. Come on man what are y’all talking about?

I’m shocked how many ppl want Emory to play over TVD. As frustrating as some of his bad games are you ride with him as QB 1. If he throws a couple picks then sure you can try Emory I guess.

My point was I do believe a healthy TVD + Dawson gameplan for healthy TVD = loss to Clemson last night.

Why?

I think the root cause(s) of this have been laid bare for several games now: (1) TVD has a strong tendency to throw to X regardless of coverages and other open receivers; and/or (2) WR are running wrong routes; and/or (3) TVD is struggling to make throws again

There are no other explanations.

Contrast that with last nght's inexperienced EW + Dawson gameplan for inexperienced EW = Miami ended up winning. Yes EW threw 2 ducks in 1Q/2Q that should have been pick 6. Yes the play calling was conservative to help and protect EW, but by 4Q the young man was slinging it a bit to other recievers not named X...and X is an amazing Cane don't get me wrong, but the O leaves a ton on the field by not getting others involved.

I'm not crowning EW as QB1 at this instant, but if TVD is hurt enough, San Mario and Dawson have to think hard about resting him against UVA.

Easy to go back to TVD after UVA if EW falls back to Earth, but what if he lights them up for 4 TDs and 300 yds? What if TVD goes out and throws two 1H picks against UVA? The boo birds are going to get nasty. Very nasty.

Maybe Dawson needs to install healthy TVD + gameplan for inexperienced QB to protect Miami's O from catastrophic bull**** until they show they can handle it consistently.

Atmospherics and data my friend...

I would also point out that our defense only gave up 17 in regulation.

If TVD takes us to 21 points (or 17 if the refs don't ***** us out of our safety), then we win, even with TVD.

I hear what everyone is saying...but our defense was amazing last night.

Very possible that TVD can get us 3 TDs to win.

But can TVD break our GOR?

Did TVD force the ACC to force the ACC schools to sign the GOR?

I just couldn't help myself.

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

TVD is obviously the better QB at this stage, but it appears to me that the OL, Young, Brashard and the entire Canes defense loves playing for Emory. Emory cheered when they made big plays. They seem to rally around Emory and was genuinely happy for him when he was successful

IJS
I don't know that I want to read too much into that. It's pretty common for teams to rally around a backup QB making his first start. This happens a lot. **** it has happened *to* Miami way too many times...

Is TVD your family member 🤔are you his agent??? Is that what it is???? You can’t be this blind. The whole team rallied behind Emory and played all out. It must be a breath of fresh air for all the receivers that TVD has not targeted enough even though they get open. It’s a breath of fresh air for us fans that are tired of watching the same result during TVD’s fantastic performances. So let’s keep allowing TVD to put our Defense out there consistently and then blame the defense after they get tired since we have so much depth right? GTech lose was the defense’s fault, it was the coaches fault. Are you a (delusional) Lebron James is the goat type of fan also??? TVD has peaked, time to turn the page and focus on the future.

Jefferson would be so mf good in this scheme.
Yep. He was an elite college quarterback for two-straight years and has been completely ruined by Dan Enos and one of the worst offensive lines in all of college football. 60 total touchdowns and just 9 interceptions in 21-22.

If he does enter the portal he's probably going to one of the Mississippi schools, but I hope Mario goes after him.
