This How’s everyone doing today?
This How’s everyone doing today?
Yes, I hope that's the case.I don’t agree. You just give the kid a deadline. Especially if you’re confident your other kid doesn’t mind waiting a few days to commit.
if it's not coming, then I'm not comingIt's not coming and I think what happened a couple of days ago will prevent people from posting any other update until the ink is dry.
Getting tense in here. Pretty soon someone’s gonna get called a doody-head.
But then where in homestead?thats like someone saying a kid is from homestead which is about an hour south of miami depending on where in homestead and traffic.
I agree with most of this, I think the point I wanted to make is that this situation is more complex than a typical business dealing imo. This kid is being brought into the family as well.. I really hope the staff put their best offer on the table upfront and set a hard deadline. It goes against everything I do day to day, but it's a rare spot where it shows transparency, forces urgency, and is fair to both parties. Hopefully Monday is the deadline. We need an answer soon hahaJust reading the tea leaves personally…
- Miami has the offer set forth and it’s a very nice one
- Business 101 is to not take the first offer, leverages FSU’s current position filled with emotional outrage after CFP “snub” and desperation to go on a mission in 2024, as a team he and his family can maybe squeeze similar $ out of. Gives FSU a chance to match or exceed the offer of a despised rival while enjoying the visiting process and partying during FSU grad week.
- also buys him 2-3 more days for a USC or Ohio St (also in desperate positions for different reasons) to get into the game
- If FSU doesn’t match, Miami is in drivers seat and he has to decide if he wants to pursue a third team and risk losing the $, or take the offer
What about Long Island? Is that considered NYC?I never understood this stuff. People always say, "I'm from LA," but live like an hour away from the city.
In New York, you're either from NYC (Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens, Manhattan, or Staten Island*), or you're not from NYC.
You could live ten minutes north of the BX, and people will say, "you live upstate."
the portal QBs are nonplussed. first, by the abundance of calamari tubes and absence of rings in the seafood tower. second, by coach promising them at UM they can be elite at handing the ball off and running into the centers butt - which is obviously what every great QB wants to hear in 2023. such an attractive proposition, but coach isn't credible without a fyzical fullback in the fold.mario is offering $2.5 million and a seafood tower, but his insistence on recruiting fullbacks who line up in a two point stance is going to leave us vulnerable in big game hunting.
Unfortunately, such a balanced and logical interpretation of events comes dangerously close to eliminating the need for hyper-emotional breakdowns and outbursts--which jeopardizes the entire board. You might want to tone down the common sense, friend.Just reading the tea leaves personally…

Only Queens. Nassau and Suffolk are outliers and generally MooksWhat about Long Island? Is that considered NYC?
rest of CIS: "oh, no, QBs don't want a Dancing Bear escorting the running game through traffic, they want a bunch of 180 pound weaklings who are scared that blocking will hurt their fingies"the portal QBs are nonplussed. first, by the abundance of calamari tubes and absence of rings in the seafood tower. second, by coach promising them at UM they can be elite at handing the ball off and running into the centers butt - which is obviously what every great QB wants to hear in 2023. such an attractive proposition, but coach isn't credible without a fyzical fullback in the fold.
miami is no country - for a QB - without a fyzical fullback. coach, kyle cobia isn't walking through that door on his own. you gotta get fyzical and drag him through the door
We can't spin the fact that Ward visiting FSU is a bad sign for Miami. I hope (and think) that Mario has a plan but, again, not overly confident it will come to fruition.
Do you see what is happening with recruiting? We're on the verge of something so special, i'm confident Mario's vision will come to fruition no matter who is playing QB next season.
Do you realize how much THE RIGHT QB can impact a program? Take FSU, for 5-6 years they were "pre season" playoff favorites and ended up 8-4 or so .... UNTIL Winston arrived. He raised the offensive performance to another level entirely, and that brought recruits lining up both on offense and defense. The right guy can be a literal program changer.Do you see what is happening with recruiting? QB1 matters the most.
(I'm very happy for our class, Mario is a beast with HS recruiting)
