That's dumb and hard to believe..this is a transfer, not a HS kid. He doesn't need to take visits. How much are they paying him to visit? $5k? $10k? That's chump change
And we're offering $2mil to commit?

If I'm Miami I'm saying "here's your $10k more not to visit. Now commit today."

Nothing good can happen with him visiting FSU.

Getting a commit of his stature an extra 4 or 5 days early is easily worth $10k at this time of the year, when ESD is less than a week away. Especially when you're willing to spend $2mil on that QB.

That’s how I see it too. No way he would go simply to cash in on a visit payment from a school that can’t even fund their own NIL deals when he has a huge offer waiting for him. Has to be more to it than that

I'm just repeating what they said. Take it for what it's worth. Maybe he committed to a visit with them before his visit to Miami and is honoring it.

Miami is the better fit. The offense is very similar as Dawson and Ward's OC were both under the Mike Leach tree.

Just wants to enjoy the process. He was a nobody and went to Incarnate Word and then followed his HC to the school he became OC… didn’t take visits.

I don’t love it and I’d probably move on to the next guy if it were me but it is what it is.

Especially with Howard also in play. Ward isn’t going to risk $2 - $2.5 million to go to FSU for a paid visit. If he’s going there it’s because he’s still open and is considering them as a viable option.

I'd believe "its an elaborate troll job" before "he's visiting only for the bag", why can't it be he's just feeling out his options?

I get what you're saying, but I'd move on too. A 21 year old kid with $2mil doesn't need to "enjoy the process". He can "enjoy" whatever he wants once he commits and gets paid. He's not a broke 17 year old kid who's just getting exposed to this stuff for the first time.

This is silly and a red flag in my opinion.

I’m on the same page there. Especially with a blue collar dude like Howard sitting there, not taking visits, not posting pics with Rick Ross, not updating any reporters on anything, no games, etc.

But the staff is letting it play out. I don’t think it goes much further. Hopefully he finishes his Tallahassee trip and wraps it up quick

i still think hes using us and FSU as leverage for the school he wants most. id take howard if howard truly did say im ready to transfer in now, however, not sure that is the case either. maybe hes waiting on USC

Do you know if Howard would commit right now?

Staff is taking a big risk by communicating to Howard, who's been all professional and mature, that's he's the backup plan while he watches Cam Ward "enjoy the process".

What if he knows he’s the back up plan, but his offer is significantly higher than he’d get anywhere else and all he has to do is wait a few days?

This should be understandable for everybody and stop the questions of 'why?'..... but it won't.
