It’s not necessarily binary. Ward and Howard could end up elsewhere and their decisions might have little or nothing to do with Mario.

For Ward, it could be the lure of playing in the NFL, a life-long dream. For Howard, he might prefer a smaller town or playing in an offense that will showcase his passing skills to improve his NFL stock.

Alternatively, both players might believe Mario and Dawson suck and no amount of money would entice them to play here.

The point is that we just don’t know. And, pushing the “Mario is the QB Killer” narrative doesn’t help.
