When I see our offense and overall rhythm, I don't think of what I watched from Dawson elsewhere. I think "this seems aligned with how Mario wants to control a football game." It might work or be safer if we ever have huge talent advantages, but when the talent is closer to even, I believe we need to find the competitive advantages elsewhere.
That's why you gotta not read too much into it. All we learned was what we already knew, Mario is a below average gameday corch. Keep upgrading the talent and wins each year and pray we hit on a star QB. Our floor will be a lot higher in a few years but our ceiling is always going to be ACC Championship game because our coaches offer little to no schematic advantages

Totally disagree. We didn’t even play the best players in that game yesterday. Almost like he was giving one last ride to players who would never play here again once this last batch of transfers and recruits come in.

I think this is what upset me most yesterday watching.. I was of the assumption that our culture and attitude had changed and the bowl would be a chance to showcase that improvement. It was an opportunity cut all the old ties to Manny, and show some of the young talent. None of that showed up at all.. instead George gets to play that whole game, K Smith is trotting out there. Waste of a bowl game and prep imo.
No I'm not blaming him. If you read my previous posts, I've said from his perspective, it makes sense to do it this way. I'm talking from the Canes perspective, this kid clearly cares nothing about the program and overpaying this kid, who doesn't care about the team, COULD rub the rest of the kids the wrong way. He has the best $$ offer from Miami and still he won't commit. What does that tell you? Obviously, he is looking for something and somewhere else to go.
