I would assume as of today these are the only 2 portal QBs we're recruiting.If both decline then Mario,Zo and staff go back to the secret bunker and devise a new plan.

Bring in a former 5-star young QB that can sit. Sign one of the lower tiered guys with upside for 1 year. Get to 10 wins next year and then CFP contenders from 2025 on.

They should really rethink the portal QB situation moving forward. You can get former 5-star QBs willing to sit a year. You then have the leverage as they will have used their 1-time transfer. You can then stack QB's with worrying about them transferring out for lack of playing time or more money. I think it's the best way to go. I'd take a 5-star redshirt transfer over just about any high school QB. Teams wind up having to play the high school 5-star too soon and he winds up transferring anyway. I'd rather be the landing spot for year 2 of his career.

I hope we sign Moore regardless of who the 1-year transfer guy is. I want legit competition for 2025. Mario has a chance to stack a former 5-star who already said he wants to be developed, so he's willing to sit a year. I've said it all over this thread and I'll say it again. I'd take a young highly rated transfer over any high school QB. He'll be ready in a year and since he's already used his 1-time transfer, you have him locked in for the next 2-3 years. You can really start to stack QBs. I'd go young portal QB every 2 years.

We need 3 QBs in this year's cycle. Since it looks like CJ is sticking with NC State, give me a young transfer QB like Moore with 2-3 years of eligibility along with a 1-year transfer.

We thought the decision would be made today. There is no decision, and the process will probably continue into Thursday.

We remain in active discussions with Cam Ward and Will Howard. There is no 1A and 1B. That is misinformation spread by interested parties. There is 1 and 1, and the first one we close on will be the QB of the Hurricanes. There is no Plan C right now. All parties expect to land one of these Tier 1 QBs and move on to closing out a Top 5 high school class.
