Props to Dmoney for giving me hope in a hopelss world.......

I have zero confidence in our coaching staff

But pick your poison. .....a true freshman or a twice failed 5th year QB who stands at 5'10"

You will reap nothing from any success that might occur, and will neither be elevated in the case of abject failure. In all things, you will simply remain miserable.

Cool you get to be right either way.

Props.

The day after Kaaya is named starter, my wife gives birth to a healthy baby boy. I'm taking it as a sign that the bleak days are behind us.

Yet some of the player comments would suggest otherwise.
You mean the players who didn't want to dog their teammate Heaps out publicly to the media? How would it sound if they came out and said Heaps isn't very good and Kaaya was way better and that it wasn't a contest? Use your head.

Congrats, brotha. Let me know when it's time to introduce him to defensive coverages. I'm thinking 2nd or 3rd day after being home?

Congrats to you and Yany homie.

What's the name?

Elias Daniel (Eli).

On a possibly related note, the Bible says that the arrival of Elias means that the return of the Messiah is imminent. I'm just saying...

Congrats, this looks like a perfect opportunity to post a picture of your wife, pre-pregnancy of course.

Waters added "Heaps would have been my guess (to be named starter).

Dorsett said the competition between Kaaya and Heaps "was so equal to me" that he's not sure how coaches ultimately made the decision.

If the competition were really as close as the coaches and WRs say, then it wouldn't make any sense to start Kaaya on opening night in a hostile environment against a quality opponent instead of waiting a week for Florida A&M at home to get his feet wet.

If D$ is right, that would make more sense than throwing the less experienced QB into the fire even though he isn't any better in practice than the experienced one. It could be that the WRs were just trying to be equally supportive of both QBs. After all, they are all teammates.

Are they supposed to say, "yeah, Kaaya looked so much better out there"...again, most these guys didnt even know until they were told by the media. They have to play with both guys so I would expect a pretty neutral response. They didnt really elaborate...I think going by the boards here, the majority of the people thought Heaps would be the guy that got the nod regardless of whether they wanted him to or not.
You are reaching. They didn't put that much thought into it. The also don't analyze the film like the coaches and all you have to hear is what Coley said. **** some you guys act like high school ******* with all the drama.

Are you serious...thats a reach? I dont think anything I said required them to put much thought into it lol. The only thing I think that too much thought was used, is that bull**** thread and posts trying to make it seem like the team isnt behind Kaaya...that is the reach b/c theres not much there.

Its not rocket science. They stay neutral so there doesnt became a "split" locker room in the eyes of the media. What do you think would happen if Coley said he wanted Heaps and Walford said he wanted Kaaya? then they would be trying to get all the other players to say who they want and ect ect. that **** would be a media bloodbath if the players started taking sides publicly
