"Brad Kaaya is better than Jake Heaps. Right now. By a lot. He is more accurate, takes less sacks, throws half as many picks, has better movement in the pocket, has better movement outside the pocket, has more arm strength, can see over the line, and makes more throws.

If Brad Kaaya doesn't start, I will be surprised and quite frankly disturbed. This is not based on Vine videos or reporter tweets. That's all I will say about that."

I believe in you

Yet some of the player comments would suggest otherwise.

What a gross overreaction to comments by players showing as neutral a stance as possible. Go check out FSU player reactions to Winston being named the starter (exactly 1 year and 1 day before we named Kaaya). Same old bland responses

Are you suggesting Kaaya undeservedly got the job?

No, not at all. MONEY said Kaaya was better by a lot, player comments would suggest otherwise. Nothing more, nothing less, and everyone is entitled to their opinion.

Players tend to be diplomatic about that sort of thing. We know Kaaya outplayed him because he was named the starter. And considering he's a true freshman, the difference was likely sizable.

So post the player and the comment or stfu

It's on here, so find it yourself. I shouldn't have to do your homework for you.

You made the statement so back up what you said. I don't recall a player saying negative things about Kaaya, I think you just being a negative Nancy

Which is not unusual for him I have noticed. Only thing I have seen was the thread I posted above...which was taken from a few interviews before most of the players even knew and the ones that did know literally just found out. I guess they were supposed to immediately start ****ting on Heaps or praising Kaaya like this:

Yes, exactly. For example,

Waters added "Heaps would have been my guess (to be named starter).

Dorsett said the competition between Kaaya and Heaps "was so equal to me" that he's not sure how coaches ultimately made the decision.

If the competition were really as close as the coaches and WRs say, then it wouldn't make any sense to start Kaaya on opening night in a hostile environment against a quality opponent instead of waiting a week for Florida A&M at home to get his feet wet.

If D$ is right, that would make more sense than throwing the less experienced QB into the fire even though he isn't any better in practice than the experienced one. It could be that the WRs were just trying to be equally supportive of both QBs. After all, they are all teammates.

I have enough confidence in the coaches that I am expecting great things from Kaaya. I'm sure they took into account experience and still thought the youngster gave them the best change to win. That is good news even though I wasn't expecting a lot from Heaps.

Are they supposed to say, "yeah, Kaaya looked so much better out there"...again, most these guys didnt even know until they were told by the media. They have to play with both guys so I would expect a pretty neutral response. They didnt really elaborate...I think going by the boards here, the majority of the people thought Heaps would be the guy that got the nod regardless of whether they wanted him to or not.

I have zero confidence in our coaching staff

But pick your poison. .....a true freshman or a twice failed 5th year QB who stands at 5'10"
