Really hope yearby finds a way to stick in the league, but **** he's slow.

Especially slow considering it was hand-timed and his juggernaut of a FB ran .15 seconds faster than him. Hopefully he can get picked up by a team (potentially as an UDFA with that time) and stick around in the league. It would be a shame if he left The U early and was left with nothing to show for it.

If he's smart, he has a free $250K degree to show for it.

Will they let him finish his degree on scholarship or will he have to pay?

They let that scumbag piece of **** traitor Nad Wilson come back and finish his degree for free, so I'm sure they'll let an honorable Cane like Yearby finish his.

They've been doing this for a while and it's open to any of the guys who leave early and want to come back to finish their degree. Anyone who knocks a kid leaving early in order to try to make some money for his family is foolish. He ability to get your degree for free, after a possible NFL career, should be a huge selling point when you're out recruiting kids and their parents. The U takes care of you even after you leave. How many other programs can say that?
Plus, not only can you still come back and finish your degree for free, but they have a great MBA program specifically built for NFL players to take advantage of while they're still playing. It's not free, but it' takes advantage of the fact that so many NFL players come to SoFla to workout in the offseason. I don't know of many universities that really cater to NFL players this way. Guys can get their workouts in, in that SoFla heat and then go to class and work on their masters.

I guess he was afraid to compete in this Competition The State Farm All-Star Football Challenge. (won the accuracy competition among several top college quarterbacks)

Kid fears competition like no other. Hopes he can use hype from a couple years ago to sneak into the league and make those 3rd round backup checks. He probably looks at Chase Daniel's career and it moves a little bit. I know 40's aren't that big of a deal, but for a QB with mobility concerns running a sub 5 would have helped ease those concerns. But like I said he hates to compete, not a gamer. A 7 on 7 God who was never the same after the Clemson hit. If you need a QB who will light up FAU and Appalachian State in a clean pocket he's your man.

LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL WE TALKING ABOUT THE STATE FARM ALL-STAR CHALLENGE NOW! They hit you in the mouth there?

As I said a few posts above, I'm not a big Kaaya fan. But if you're trolling, you're not being very subtle and the mods here are not timid with the band hammer. Just a word to the wise.

Can I scan my season tix or a picture of my orange bowl seat in my den? This troll talk is lunacy. I don't like Kaaya as a player or pro-prospect. If that gets me "Band" guess this board wasn't for me.

I actually figured I'd get more downvotes and just didn't give a fûck, ****dork4. Glad you hate my signature too.

I dig your signature, like the dwins says it's real.

Thanks man. Also just trying to show a little love to a fellow Cane who has to sit out for a week and watch as a spectator.

He has and will continue to be missed, I'm sure extra mat work is in order.

I would say an additional half hour daily in order to appropriately honor his legacy

I would say a lot more, he will too much time on his hand with this band that has been placed on him. #FreeCaneDynasty

Best hand-timed 40-yard dash results (consensus of a pool of reporters):

Jamal Carter: 4.6

Stacy Coley: 4.33

Stan Dobard: 4.74

Al-Quadin Muhammad: 4.78

David Njoku: 4.49

Corn Elder: 4.45

Jermaine Grace: 4.58 (at 220 pounds)

Joe Yearby: 4.73

Malcolm Lewis: 4.53

Marquez Williams: 4.58 (which drew shouts from teammates and coaches)

question, why are the numbers different than at the combines?

It's great that they allow guys to come back to finish their degrees but don't get it twisted. They're only giving you free tuition when you come back to school. When you're on a full athletic scholarship, you get free: tuition, room and board, food, books, all the tutors and help you can ask for, even your clothes are free from the athletic department. If you come back to finish your degree, all of that stuff is coming out of your own pocket. School isn't cheap.

Its a dumb *** statement. A 40 has nothing to do with not wanting to compete. Now not winning big games and etc is a valid argument but that dumb **** you came up in here with makes no sense.

And kaaya is gone now so it is what it is. He wasnt as good as some make him out to be but wasnt as bad as some claim either.

I agree with the OP that Kaaya was overrated in college and I'm not that upset about losing him. However Tom Brady was a 5th round pick and great NFL qbs weren't always great CFB QBs.

I'm new here, big deal. You men fear the truth. His biggest win was the F'ing Russell Athletic Bowl.

What was yours?

Won a let-it-fly flag competition in 08' at Brian Piccolo park.

Nothing but respect for your athletic achievement, but was it in the recreational or top gun division?

Ha! I was in high school. It was 16-18 division. Came back a few years later we were runner-ups in Top Gun.

Apparently Kaaya has had turf toe since the VTech game, which can definitely limit someone's movement. Wonder if that played a roll in him being an absolute statue. Needs to improve his mobility alot

Hoover437, could be any of a number of things. Unknown Injuries, not warming up right, in better shape, grass vs turf, hand time vs laser, more comfortable etc.

Hand times are usually better except for that sorry *** gator boy who ran even slower.
