He threw like 3 pics that game... Their Defense had more receptions than our offense... I don't think any of our qbs can perform that bad...

Freeman vs. Whipple is a tough call for WOAT Cane QB. I'd say it's Freeman by a hair because at least Whipple could hold the field goal snaps. Then again Freeman completed that miraculous pass at FSU to Dedrick Epps before getting drilled...hmmm, difficult choice.

Whipple was a walk-on. Freeman was 4-star elite 11 recruit coming out of highschool. The fact that we're having this conversation gives the edge to Whipple.

Whipple wasn't ever supposed to play... He wasn't even starting at the d2 school he transferred from... Kirby was supposed to be better he just didnt improve, developed, and just was not a good fit for our system... His style resembled a GT/Navy qb... And he was clutch in 07 against FSU...

IMO, he was the best-looking QB at the Spring Game this year. If anyone on the roster reminds me of Dorsey, it's him.

Yes, we'd be in deep doo doo if Preston Dewey were forced into action as a true freshman, but again, so too would nearly every other D1 program.
The fact that he is currently battling and apparently winning that battle against Gray Crow tells me that he is developing.
