Pre-Summer 2017 Class Prediction

First off, at least you had the stones to put up a list and then deal with what comes afterward.

Secondly, if that's out running back class, I'll be sorely disappointed.

Third, that wide receiver class doesn't excite me at all. Right has said we need speed at the position and that doesn't cut it. Jeudy isn't a burner, but would be the fastest of the bunch. Evodence, lacking speed. Dingle has a college ready frame, but lacks speed as well. Scott, he's a turtle.

In his defense, deejay Dallas would probably be a receiver in this class but he's not necessarily a burner either

I'm still not sold on Dallas or even where he plays. I don't think he's elite anywhere, could be wrong, and a Jack of all trades but master of none. Still, he's worth an offer in my opinion based on the versatility alone. Who knows, full-time somewhere maybe he takes off.

Njoku runs a 4.49, 2017 WR group isn't as good as 2016.

Dallas is a consensus 4* heavily recruited by big-time schools there gotta be something there....I kinda see what you're saying tho....maybe he proved his worth in big games against elite competition?...it's hard judge recruits by looking at highlights alone...you need full games ....or go see a few games in person against good comp....there are way too many mop up duty highlights tapes floating around.IMO

I get what your saying about the speed, but who are we recruiting at the WR position that has this "top end speed".. Jeudy is our top target and I think he's a 4.4-4.5 guy which to me is acceptable.. And Scott, Dingle, Evidence, Grimes, etc are our other top targets. So if they don't have speed then clearly the staff isn't as worried about it as they may seem to the media.

Also coach Richt is saying there is no speed now.. But Richards, Bruce and Mullins will help solve the speed issues

i agree w/r/t to the lack of speed of the wr's that we're after right now. granted, it's still early.

but, when i look back at richt's wr's at uga, excluding aj green, and combine that with the wr's that we're targeting, it's definitely a potential red flag.

we shall see.

All fair points. I just miss the days where we had multiple guys who could leave the secondary in their rearview mirror. Overall, I think the corner position and safety as well have made up a lot of ground in the speed department since those days. I hope the muck speedster lights it up this year and we come calling. He's a game changer at the position and returning kicks.

Yea i agree, i think there will always be speed in SoFla. Maybe 2017 is just a rare down year for speed at the WR spot as far as the top prospects go. There's always those late bloomers too, like Desmond Phillips that emerge.

The conclusion is, I think that if there is top level elite SoFla speed out there, our staff will recruit it. It might just not be there at the moment for the 2017 class

I'd like to see a few big-time juco kids in this class to solidify our depth issues...we need kids ready to push for starting spots...who are some of the names?

Deejay Dallas is a WR and he'd be the fastest and from what ive seen, id say hes a burner, but i totally agree we need more speedy guys in this class

Also i really see us getting McFarland and that we take AT MOST 22 for this class. Expect our best performing juniors to return if they really think they can make a run next year for the CFB playoff. And that's the biggest reason why i think Kaaya will be here for his senior year. You can tell how badly he wants to be the QB to bring back winning NCs.
