Pre Season W/L Prediction for Canes 2014 Season

We are finally led by a ton of winners most of the most talented an experienced players were winners in high school and taken this game seriously!!! The number Stan Dobish/duke Johnson type are all over the place.

We get average qb and DT play with run thru our division.

10 wins is floor!!! I believe one will be against FSU if we are healthy going into that game.

7-5 losses to:

UL: Petrino **** on SOLID UM defenses when he was at UL. No "D" is the defensive coord. Think about that.
NEB: I can't see a 1st yr starter at QB winning in Memorial Stadium
GT: I think Paul's boys are due a W against UM. Although Golden has never lost to them.
VT: For some reason, this team always has trouble vs VT. And that's in Miami. This game is in Blacksburg, w/ a 1st yr QB
FSU: No comment

I am somewhat surprised by all of the people predicting the loss to Nebraska. I don't follow Nebraska at all, are they expected to be good this year?

7-5, maybe 8-4. DO not think will be able to slow down any offense with a pulse. Offensively we will pile up nice numbers against weaker comp, just like we did last year. QB is unknown factor on offense. If QB play is better than last year, offense might be real good though.

Very tough games with:
Louisville
Duke
Va Tech
UNC
FSU

Think we beat Nebraska. Not impressed with them at all. If we can keep their ground game under control, we win easily.

Pitt and Ga Tech could be closer than we want.

Maybe I'm too optimistic but you guys calling Cincy, Duke, UNC, and GT difficult games?

View attachment 24312

Cincy was blown out by UNC(lost to USF and blown out by Illinois) last year, Duke got lucky, UNC is overrated, and we own GT unless their defense miraculously becomes good. VT worries me a bit because we're going into Blacksburg, but their top offensive and defensive players, Logan Thomas and Kyle Fuller, are gone. If the defense is as good as advertised we shouldn't lose any of those games. Nebraska could be a problem if the defense can't stop Ameer Abdullah; the rest of their offensive personel is average.

We have more talent than all of the teams on our schedule with the exception of FSU so I'm predicting 10-2; L to FSU and either Louisville or Nebraska. I think Kaaya/Heaps will have a good season and the defense ranks in the top 60.

@ Louisville -->W I will be at this game
Florida A&M -->W
Arkansas State -->W
@Nebraska -->W
Duke -->W
@Georgia Tech -->W I will be at this game
Cincinnati -->W
@VT -->W I have been to Blacksburg the last 4 times we played there and the Thursday night game screwed me this year so we will win and I will miss it.
UNC -->W
FSU -->L (Would love this to be the year we end the streak but the realist in me just doesn't see it happening with a new qb under center)
@Virginia -->W
Pittsburgh -->W

I am saying 11-1 on paper but I know we will slip up against UVA, UNC or GT. We always **** the bead against a team we should beat.

We'll win 7 or 8 and they'll probably give him an extension to 2025. He should win 9 or 10, but that's not happening.

Peoples giving sorry *** Nebraska way too much credit. They hate Pelini out there as much as the hard core mopes hate Al. That team can't hang with us.

I think they will play solid, but the lost 3 starters on D which can't be good for them.

Duke -->W
@Georgia Tech -->W
