A little less than a month away now from labor day night and I'm used to seeing one of these threads so figured I'd start it up. I know with camp reports everyone is usually feeling good vibes on the team as it's always positive information being reported but just seeing what everyone is feeling for the upcoming season. , We can save the thread and then check back at the end of the season

copy and paste this schedule and then put the result next to it and the final W/L at the bottom so we can get a good idea of what people are thinking we finish with record wise, and what people are thinking of our opponents.

@ Louisville -->W
Florida A&M -->W
Arkansas State -->W
@Nebraska -->L
Duke -->W
@Georgia Tech -->W
Cincinnati -->W
@VT -->L
UNC -->W
FSU -->L (Would love this to be the year we end the streak but the realist in me just doesn't see it happening with a new qb under center)
@Virginia -->W
Pittsburgh -->W

I think we can all agree we shouldn't digress from last season seeing as every part of our team has improved especially the defense. (QB is an area of concern however most on here and even coaches tend to agree that morris wont be hard to replace or at least have someone dictate the offense).

I think overall it's a favorable schedule, 7 home games to 5 away games with UNC and FSU at home being usually close finishes.

Nebraska L:
I honestly am up in the air on the Nebraska game, I think we have the talent to win it, but I just feel as though it'll be hard to pull out a win there with their top 20 ranked rushing attack last year and our Rushing defensive woes(regardless of improvement or not).

VT L:
We usually rotate wins with VT so we should win and we have the better team this year, I'm just putting it there to represent that I think we'll drop one ACC game we shouldn't have before the season is up whether it be to them or GT.

FSU L:
Think we'll be in the FSU game and make it a **** of a lot closer than last year. Pains me to pencil them in winning, especially after they've lost a lot of talent to the nfl and graduation but I think that'll be our last loss of the season.

also fwiw, i know we play well vs GT, and I think we will win, but we only have a few days to prepare for them so I'm hoping thats not a let down game

Overall season 9-3 with a win in the bowl game making it 10-3 is my realistic prediction.

What do you guys think?

11-1 or 10-2. If it's 1 loss, to fsu. If two losses, FSU and VT.

Miami vs FSU game becomes toss up again in 2015. 1 more year. Pains me, but it is the truth, we should win our division though, if not, we barely lose it to VT.

Either way I want us to win vs FSU. My heart says yes,but my mind says not this year. I do feel and think 2015 and beyond will be when Either team could win when that annual game comes up.

Problem is we could be good but still end up in the 7-8 win area cause there are some tough games here.

It will be tough to get to 9. For instance in your prediction there is a three game stretch at GT (always tough in Atlanta), Duke and Cincy. You have 3 wins there....I think realistically there is probably a loss there and it's not inconceivable that there could be 2. It's just a schedule where there are only a small handful of sure wins. 3/4 of these games are games where things could go either way or Miami is an underdog.

If we get past Louisville, our QB situation should be settled by Nebraska, and we could really build some momentum.

I could see use making "the leap" this year, but I could also see us going in the tank.

I think we're either going to be really good or really bad.

I think 9-3 is easily attainable. If we lose 1 of the two against UL and Nebraska, lose to FSU, and maybe we lose to VT or something. Not worried about GT as we have there number and Golden has experience playing against the triple option from his temple days. Duke, Cincinnati, and UNC are all home games I think we win.

Louisville - W
Florida A&M - W
Ark st - W
Nebraska - L
Duke - W
GT - W
Cincinnati - W
VT - L
UNC - W
FSU - W (FSU isn't winning 28 straight games so there gunna drop one this year, why not us?)
Virginia - W
Pitt - W

I think that's a best case scenario, realistically we probably lose the FSU game but it's at home so who knows what could happen. So many unknowns tho, quite a few games could go either way.

This is the fastest team we've had in a while.

Whether or not that translates into more wins, I don't know. But we at least look the part.

9-3 isn't easily attainable at all. It assumes we run the table against some pretty good teams that have given us trouble.

GT in Atlanta is tough. Duke is tough, Cincy was a bowl team and is prolly the best AAC team, UVA is always a pain in the ***, UNC is not bad.

Honestly this could get really ugly depending on how the month of September goes.

There is a chance Miami has 2 losses at the end of the month and an outside chance they could have 3.

10-2

Losses to fsu and Louisville. Still think louisivilles the 2nd best team on this schedule. That team we played last year was elite, UNC being ranked ahead of them pre-season is a joke.

I an bipolar on this season. I look at talent and think possible playoff team. Then I look at coaching history and I see disaster. One thing I see either way is a win over feather people. Al has to be focused on that game like he was on swamp slime last year. We have them yelling at each other on the sideline before halftime last year. Different QB on that first dive on second half and we might have tied the game. Feather dna would have kicked in, but they adjusted and out coached us in second half. Losing Duke finished our season. This year we have more legs behind Duke. Plus remember, Duke promised his mommy he would beat UF and FSU. He still owes her.

@ Louisville - W
Florida A&M - W
Arkansas State - W
@Nebraska - L(Only reason I have this as a loss is because of the travel, if it was a neutral field, I'd predict a W)
Duke - W
@Georgia Tech - W
Cincinnati - W
@VT - L
UNC - W
FSU - L
@Virginia - W
Pittsburgh - W
ACC Championship(FSU) - L
Bowl Game(Hard to predict the bowl games) - W

10-4 Record

@Louisville L
Florida A&M W
Arkansas State W
@ Nebraska L
Duke W
@ Georgia Tech W
Cincinnati W
@ Virginia Tech L
UNC W
Florida State L
@ UVA W
Pitt. W

8-5, 5-3, Sun Bowl loss, but we tried hard.
