If you think every game is meaningful, that's fine. However, considering we just had ESD, I'm not buying the helping with recruiting thing. Maybe with the portal? Maybe? I think bags help a whole lot more than a Pop Tart toaster trophy.

It’s not about comforting anyone. It is about not making unnecessarily inflammatory remarks that add nothing to the conversation. You called @BigDikDaddyFromCincinnati a “liberal” in an effort to insult him because you disagree with his opinion about the value of the Bowl Game.

First, calling him a “liberal” has absolutely nothing to do with the bowl game or his opinion about it.
Second, you meant it as an insult.
Third, politics in either direction are not welcome on a sports message board.

If there is any question about my reasoning on this subject, please let me know.

I still haven't seen the new Penguin series... Just working too much but I hear it's good... Wasn't a fan of the new Batman movie... Just didn't work for me but again , everyone says the Penguin series is really good so I'll give it a shot...

It's an opportunity to play another game. Win or lose its PT for some players that will be in uniform next season. Not to mention ISU is a good team so a win would be a nice bounce back from ****** end of the regular season. I believe Cam mentioned our bowl record a couple of times already. I as a fan really appreciate him wanting to change that. Hope he throws for 500 and 5 Tds

People are going to laugh, but I think Iowa State will be a tough out. They have a pretty good offense. Given our defense hasn't been able to stop anyone all season outside of Mertz, I think it's going to be a shootout. No joke, I would rather have faced Alabama.
