PRACTICE THREAD - MONDAY 8/25 - Added interviews in 2nd post

Looks like special teams day will be tomorrow according to the Golden interview, for those who were asking. Sounds like Vogel will probably be the punter and handle kickoffs.

I hope Vogel locks down punter and Semerene locks down kicker and kickoffs. But thats just my opinion. Goudis been very shaky. We got Galitz coming in next year. Heard Badgley could be contender at kicker too.

I hope Olsen stays and gets his head in the game. Just Kaaya won doesn't mean its over for him. Its all about the play on the field. Even if Olsen ultimately leaves whenever it is, I can see him being successful if he gets it together. He's still very young.

Ryan Williams will become a grad asst here watch. He is a gonna be a coach in south florida somewhere.

Kevin Olsen is a decent young QB. Only this board writes off a RS Freshman QB. Kid is a plus athlete with a very good arm. He may never play here, but if he transfers he'll have success as long as he can grow up. It helps the team if he stays.

He's pretty average physically as far as big time college football is concerned. The only way he'll find any success anywhere is if he wakes up and dedicates himself to the craft.

Even if he never starts a game here, we need Olsen to stay. If he were to transfer prior to next year, we'd only have Rosier and Lawson behind Kaaya.

He's been overwritten as most of the news about him is that he doesn't focus at all on football and is usually smoking weed. Also, he just got surpassed by a true frosh who's only been here 3-4 months. The general consensus on all Canes forums is that Olsen won't play one snap as a Cane.

Better than the year we went into the season with Dorsey and Ethenic Sands. Al will find a free agent if Olsen quits.

obviously beau did not outwork stan or clive, feel bad for him but you could tell stan wanted it more, plus now hopefully this will clear room for clarington to go ahead commit soon

Lol the only school Clarington is getting into is a JUCO.

Oh, and he's playing DE at the next level.

Jake Heaps said he had no thoughts of transferring. "This is my role now." Would not discuss his elbow injury when asked if that factored in

Not sure he could transfer even if he wanted. Hasn't he already redshirted?

The same way Sandland could transfer.

The difference is this is Heaps' 5th year, while Sandland's 4th (2 JUCO, jr yr at UM and current). So Sandland could transfer and play next year. Believe you have 5 years to play 4.

Fentress back to Safety. He brings a lot of versatility with his "experience" at LB. Doubt he plays much of a role but he's like a poor man's Dallas Crawford. That's more of a compliment than it is an insult.

Sandland could not beat out Stan ? Smh

I got the impression from an interview last week that they like Stan A LOT. The word "tough" got used about 3 or 4 times. Last year, the second tight end was used mostly as a blocker in short yardage situations. If so, "tough" is what they're looking for. Beau seems like more of a pass-catching guy. That said, a Beau transfer would leave us dangerously thin at TE.

Nothing you wrote besides the bolded is true.

Olsen has never shown to be more than an average athlete with an average arm. Your Northeastern bias continuously shows.

Some of you guys must have a Master's Degree in Divination based on the **** your spewing about our untested QBs.

Heaps needs to be a good backup for once in his career. Got beat out fair and square........again
