brantley is a senior and was an excellent starting corner in the big 10.

lucas will be great and has all the upside, but I wouldn't get ahead of ourselves and pretend he's an elite college corner right now

And it was the "schools" coming down on us for infractions and not ncaa.

Well i always said f em all an i dont give a f about being in any "conference:" or appeasing any group ncaa include because we cant fix our public perception.

Unfortunately, enacting rules and enforcing are separate things. Perhaps difficult overcoming longtime misconceptions, but schools make the rules.
As for enforcing rules and schools cheating, historically many infractions cases are initiated by one school, coaching staff or boosters squealing on another.

Really appreciated D$ and Pete podcast updating Lucas situation. Only thing to be cautious about is repeated reference to what we’re seeing as a battle between the NCAA and the players. And somehow the NCAA and the players now need to reach a deal.

First, misconception is of the NCAA being a bunch of mean-spirited pencil heads in Indianapolis. The NCAA is the member institutions, the schools - Miami, Bama, USC, Texas, etc. The schools vote on the rules and NCAA staff simply enforces them.

The schools - college presidents and ADs - are obviously hoping Congress will toss a life preserver and help resolve the current mess. If not, it falls back on the universities - again, not an administer in Indy. Dealing with player compensation becomes a delicate dance because schools have adamantly opposed recognizing players as employees.

All due respect, this is bootlicker bull**** and sounds like you work for the ncaa.

LIke I said from the very ******* beginning, it was obvious Karnley was added with the intention of treating him like he was in the same position of Ryan Mack, and that we were absolutely trying to bring 2-3 CBs above him who we fully expected to be immediate contributors to pair with already having landed Poyser as the 2nd best safety prospect in the portal, Brantley, and OJ, Patterson, and Damari... And what was the result? I was proven 100% correct. But then you come here after we should be celebrating our POrtal DB haul and try to take shots when the plan undeniably worked lol. Only some idiots here that over reacted were acting like our coaches were complete idiots who were banking on Karnley starting... I'm guessing you were one of them and don't like the fact that you were wrong. At least when @Memnon disagrees with the Take I believe he is basing it on actual film and not liking the prospect.
