I say we take the first 3 guys on @Memnon 's list. I do wonder whether we're walking on eggshells taking DBs in the portal so not to risk scaring off guy we're still in it with on HS..?

That would be a silly strategy.

There isn't a single current commit we have at either DB spot that you take over an already established Portal DB. And when it comes to potential flips of higher ranked kids, they're already going to a program that has several high ranked & talented kids ahead of them who have already been in the system & played.

You never pass up the opportunity to get good known commodity players that can help your team for unknown commodities.

I wanted Sharpe, Brantley, Hallman, Oladokun & Hill out of HS. I'm pretty sure we recruited Brantley, Hallman and Hill but Rumph whiffed on all three. We had no interest in Sharpe (smh) & Oladokun was an academic casualty (originally headed to Iowa iirc) I liked Ponds and Prophete as well, happy to see them making plays at the G5 level.

Recruiting DBs should literally be a cakewalk here.
