The Canes are in the market for a transfer quarterback, and one of the premier young quarterbacks in the country just entered the Portal. Tulane QB Darian Mensah announced that he will be entering the Transfer Portal and instantly becomes one of the top names on the market.



As a redshirt freshman, Mensah completed 189/287 (65.9%) of his passes for 2,723 yards, 22 TDs and 7 INTs. He also ran for 132 yards and 1 TD. Mensah has three years of eligibility...

IMO, a better fit than Weigman for the system we currently run. Mensah on play action behind our OL and running game would keep the offense humming. It would look different than this year for sure, but would be very effective. Weigman does intrigue me though. He or Arnold could also look totally different in new surroundings with better situations.

Don’t think this matters anymore. If they think Mensah is better than Moore, why wouldn’t you tell Moore to kick rocks? Both have 3 yrs eligibility and one likely puts you back in the playoff picture immediately.

If his sister is there and he’s from the west coast, this is a waste of time for us. Just some traffic fodder.
