Emory won’t be able to cover up for them

The D HAS TO BE BETTER. It doesn't matter who is at QB, because it's unlikely that Miami is going to unearth another Cam. Even if Mateer would have made it to campus, you can't always rely on scoring 40+ every night. D has to be competent, that's something they aren't right now. This is arguably the worst Miami defensive unit I've ever seen and I'm including the D'Onofrio years. At least those teams could bend and not break. I'll take that over getting blasted play after play.

I hate watching our defense play. Its such an opposite of our offense.

This defense just refuses to let us put games away. You just know as soon as we get a little bit of breathing room the defense will immediately melt and let the opposing offense walk their way down the field next drive.
