Recruiting is 50% of the job in college football, he’s failed at recruiting. Even worse, he’s failed at recruiting layups. On top of his horrific recruiting, our DBs can’t turn around to save their lives and we get routinely torched by three star receivers.

Will Richt fire him? I don’t think so. Should he? Absolutely. This is part of the reason Richt failed at UGA, the savageness just isn’t there. Cut the dead weight and move on.

We'll see if Richt has that killer-instinct because your banana if you think Saban or Myer would take a chance on a HS HC who can't recruit in the 3 years he been here and not fire them immediately afterwards.

We will learn a lot about Richt based on what he does or doesn't do in the coming month. Are we hiring guys who you like but can't get the job done at the highest level or is this get the job done or we'll find someone else that will.

If choice one is what Richt does then Richt won't last long here as having an attachment to someone who is not productive at their job is Al Golden esque no matter how you spin it.

If he chooses the latter then EVERYONE will know Richt is a nice guy but he means business at the end of the day.

It's obvious the main reason PS2 and TC didn't come here was because of Rumph. They did not think Rumph was capable of preparing them to be elite NFL prospects that's what it came down too.

Thx Miss Cleo.

Not to beat a dead horse, but last year he missed out on the #1, #2, #3, #5, #6, #7 south Florida CB's and this year he missed out the #1, #2, #3, #5, #6, #8 south Florida CB's.

LOLOL and there are people here that want this guy retained.

"he's from south florida!"
"he played in the NFL!"

Our fans deserve what we get. Constant morons not understanding what it takes to be a winning program. And it aint a bunch of green mediocre coaches and a burnt out jesus freak.

No, of course not. The big two chose to go to the better programs as they currently stand.

If you want to get on Rumph, make the case for spending a lot of time on those two, when there were others to be had. My guess is that those recruiting orders come from higher up and they said go big or we'll just wait for next year's loaded class. Wilson and the STA kid would've been good options, but at the sacrifice of some elites next year they feel we're in a good place with?

Wasnt that the exact plan as last year when Dumph whiffed on a million CBs??

You slurpers amaze me.

If Rumph isn't fired, then Rick should be shown the door.

Is that obvious? PS2's dream school was LSU with a highly accomplished DB coach (with whom he had a longstanding relationship) who places many DBs in the NFL. Guess what, he didn't choose LSU and Corey Raymond. He chose to go to a school that is virtually guaranteed to play for a championship every single year he is there. Based on him spurning LSU and Corey Raymond, I'd have to think that there is more to the decision than who he thinks will develop him into a better DB.

The whole develping thing is stupid, if you are good you play in the league, paul williams has a first rounder on his resume so he must be great developer of talent right?

Sounds just like the Al Golden worshippers. Until he did get fired.

I have to think when he was hired it was in part because it was thought he'd tie up this class and any others from there. Why else would Richt hire someone with zero college recruiting or coaching experience.

Mr Richt cannot be a happy camper right now.

How can ANYONE honestly say this man should be retained?????

Our 3rd down pass defense was among the worst in the nation. QBs destroyed us. And for three straight classes he has whiffed worse than any coach I have EVER seen in recruiting.

What on earth has this POS done, other than **** talking about our program before we saved his broke ***, to deserve to be here??

Which is it?? Are these kids S. FL divas who only go where the the best team from the last couple years is or is it gross incompetence on coach Rumphs part? I see a lot of people making both points, but only one can be factual. I say NO, don't fire Rumph. Especially without a better option lined up. If we go 12-1 next year and he can't close, I say launch him. Until then he gets the benefit of the doubt. Only thing I can fault him for is Chaffie Fields making that catch on him.
