If coaches surprised at Harley, how could Pete not be. Surprises and disappointments is part of the game.

Re podcast, why all the optimism Capt. Jack gonna take the reins next year ahead of Rosier? He been killing it at practice? Is this based on recent performance because Rosier has been the #2 GuY all year behind Kaaya and Capt Jack did not shine in the Spring or fall camp.
 
The next person who suggests Rosier will be the QB in 2017 is getting pistol-whipped.

It's not necessarily optimism on Jack. Gun to my head, I think Perry will ultimately be the starter.

But as I said on the podcast, if we go with Rosier we will have to simplify the offense for him anyway to exploit his athleticism and mask his lack of accuracy. And if we're going to do that, we may as well do it for a talent like Perry or Allison.

Recruiting class is setting up a to be a major disappointment. I fully expected for Richt to make up for his offensive play calling deficiencies by killing it in recruiting....and well, that hasn't been the case so far.

Losing this game vs WVU and then not finishing strong in the recruiting over the next month would really be a cause for concern in my opinion. Homeboy is getting paid A LOT of money....we should expect more than what we're currently getting.
 
My best advice, never say a kid is a lock. Even if it's a Duke Johnson type that absolutely loves the Canes.

You just never know.
 
D$ can you please explain why perry would start over Allison? How do their arms compare? Football IQ? Is Perry more of jerrad Evans athlete or Lamar jackson?

And don't follow up a lock prediction with "recruiting is fluid and it is impossible to predict what a high school kid will do" when addressing veterans of recruiting.

Arm strength is important but not the only attribute for a qb to succeed at the college level. Don't sleep on Evan, he has similar smarts to Brad, the question would be is can he adjust his arm strength to the speed of the game and will he be able to throw receivers open..

He said in the podcast he thinks perry has more upside. And he can run but isnt a blazer.

Harley did, but how did he? Pete relayed information that he received from inside the program and was confident with it. It turned out to be overly optimistic, so what? Life goes on. After all, this is a free website, and Pete gives us better information than the rest of the paid subscription websites combined. He's usually spot on, but cant be perfect, so quit your bi******.

Maaaannn pete was saying this kid was a lock.. like he knew something pr the family. Im not ing just saying if he dont know the situation dont hold podcast calling him a lock thats all
