This is a blog?!!!No one on this blog will ever see the Canes play in a permanent home stadium other than Hard Rock.
I'm out. Not into that nonsense.

Intersted in knowing which private universities around the country have their own 70k seat stadiums for football? Off the top, I don't think it'd be such a bad idea to have a 40k seat stadium closer to campus for most games and switch over to Joe Robbie Stadium (60k+) for the big games. You’re dam right it matters. You want to be lumped up with a bunch of scrub teams. Our rivals would LOL at us for centuries.
The newer stadiums don’t do that. I’ve been to many soccer stadiums and some of them are quite close to the pitch.
However I do agree with you on the other issues.

Did you just compare doak and the swamp to a stadium that hosts the Super Bowl and NC Games. If that matters to you ok I get it. You worry about the perception or what others think of you. I don’t personally don’t.
I’d rather be winning and dominating football and the size of the stadium is the least of my concerns in the grand scheme of things.
For reference Hard Rock is smaller than Doak and Florida and they already “make fun of us “ for not having our own stadium. Orange bowl held less than those stadiums also…If all they can say at the end of the day is your stadium is smaller than ours who cares?
The only time I’ve ever had problems getting out of Hard Rock was during a Monday Night Dolphins game. I mean it’s easily one of the smoothest places to get in and out of.I urge you all to look up Baylor’s stadium before you come in with the notion of needing a big stadium. 45-50k seats is literally all we need and all we can consistently fill. Miami doesn’t have the student body to have some 70k capacity stadium. With a great architect you can create a loud incredible fan experience. If they can, get it done!
People will always complain about parking and logistics of getting in and out of a stadium. The times I’ve been to hard rock it’s been amazing once I’m there but the before and after it’s a nightmare. I can’t understand why anyone would be against this. If we have the backing of numerous billionaires, I promise you they aren’t going to half-*** this thing. Mas Brothers, Beckham and if they let Ruiz in would create a state of the art facility 20 minutes less than 6 miles from campus.
Operation get out of Hard Rock! Closest thing to an on campus stadium that we will ever have. Sign me up!
I think you're being very conservative with that estimate.London is very different from Miami. 99% of our attendance arrives via personal vehicle. I would guess that 70% or more of Chelsea fans arrive via public transportation or other alternative transportation methods.
The only time I’ve had issues getting in and out was at rolling loud. The biggest problem for me is driving all the way up there from Miami and then driving back. Both were a major buzz kill. The only time I’ve ever had problems getting out of Hard Rock was during a Monday Night Dolphins game. I mean it’s easily one of the smoothest places to get in and out of.
My preference is 50k but will settle for 5540k should be the goal for season tickets SOLD. A real program doesn't even think about anything below 50k. I'd personally like something in the 55k range of actual seats and then a standing room bar-type open endzone area.
Do you really want to continue playing in a half-empty, sterile stadium built on sacred Tequesta burial ground 25 miles from campus?Do you really want to lump UM in the same category as UH, UCF, FIU, FAU etc.
Baylor stadium is in fact 45K but expandable to 55K…Canes would need 50-55K and expandable for 60-65K for the marquee games..I urge you all to look up Baylor’s stadium before you come in with the notion of needing a big stadium. 45-50k seats is literally all we need and all we can consistently fill. All this BS talk to play in a 25K stadium is ridiculous.
I’ve been a season ticket holder for more than 42 years and I’ve seen our team win multiple NC’s in a half empty stadium. Are you new too all this?Do you really want to continue playing in a half-empty, sterile stadium built on sacred Tequesta burial ground 25 miles from campus?
Yes. HR is an amazing stadium and next year will begin a huge home field advantage.Do you really want to continue playing in a half-empty, sterile stadium built on sacred Tequesta burial ground 25 miles from campus?
