Peter, DMoney, Geo, Lu, DP . . . 2017 Recruiting Finish

I think we'll finish with:
Amari Carter, Telfort, Brini, Slaton & Wilder...

I know Pete said he doesn't think Wilder will be in this class, but Wilder will be announcing his commitment in November & it will be us.
That would be an odd situation where he commits to us & we just plain say no, especially considering Breon Dixon & Tyler Taylor probably aren't coming here.

As far as RB's, I think if Etienne goes to Oregon then we get Felix & I think we have a long shot with Mac, but he seems to be pretty heavy leaning towards staying home in Maryland, which I have no problem with... If he picks Bama he can go f*ck himself.

At WR, nobody wants Holloman in this class more than me, but I think he'll end up with Tennessee...
And for Devonta Smith, he's got that Bama syndrome, but they're in line to get at least 3 or 4 more WR's, which would mean they would have 7 in one class, all of them 4/5-stars.

Even for a program like Bama that's not happening, so we might end up snagging Smith just based on him seeing Bama have 5 to 6 WR's already committed by January.

That OL haul would make me smile from ear to ear.

However the CB, WR and RB recruiting would make me cringe. (If Dallas goes to CB...he will imo....I'll feel better).

We need more talent at WR.

There has been no first year recruiting bump with Richt, which is shocking considering he has done so much well on the surface. Paradise Camp, the IPF announcement, stadium rennovation.

This class is underwhelming right now. Not one elite South Florida prospect besides Bandy and Donaldson. They have to finish real strong here or it puts a lot of pressure on 2018.

Meh. It's still very early... come back in February!

Steed? C'mon man.

Ford the best DT prospect in tri-county.

Garvin easily the best DE in tri-county.

I'm not a big Daniel Wright fan and I have explained in the past, with the amount of times I have seen him. Would say Amari the best safety in tri-county.

A healthy Robert Burns is elite, no matter how much people hate how much he gets hurt.

Think you're short changing too much. I would like to see the WR and CB class improve though.

Landing guys like Telfort and/or Slaton brings more elite local OL aside from Donaldson.

I think Amari is coming.

I would monitor Darrian Felix considering how Oregon is falling apart, it's between him and the Etienne kid that we offered that is taking a spot in Oregon class. I'm very high on Felix potential.

I would also monitor Hillery, he's still taking visits and staff is making hard push at guys like Slaton and Telfort.

Wasn't too happy with Dysktra performance at paradise. Was rumors he's flirting with Iowa state but rumors are rumors.

Not happy with our WR class. We need to get some more explosiveness. I like Dingle but he's more of a possession type and I think little Njoku will need some time(like his jump ball ability though)

Really would like for us to add another Lb in the class.

Not sure what is going to happen at corner at this point. Edwards is shaky right now and Brini might be coming but I don't have either pegged as true corners. Think they will be boundary type and play some safety here and there.

Brini is a corner with S size... he has been a CB his whole football life ...he will be a faster Richard Sherman

LMaO

He is not Richard Sherman. Stop.

I don't know. Seems likely that this kid is a faster version of a 3 time first team All Pro and former Defensive Player of the Year.

From what I've read on the board, if we close with Sam Bruce's mom, we will be good

Likely? It's been proven

Amari is a good S, who fits the Jenkins' mold. I'd like to see him added to the roster.

Felix is a solid player, but falls below my expectations for Richt, quite honestly. Having every RB returning next year may be impacting our RB recruiting.

I like Hillery's potential, but would much prefer either Slaton or Telfort.

Dykstra has never been a take for me.

Our WR recruiting is a real concern. We need a slot WR badly. Berrios is a kid that's easy to root for, but is simply not good enough to be a starting player here. Sam Bruce is gone, so we need a genuine stud WR recruit to come in next year.

Evidence Njoku is not a take for me. Dingle is a take, but he's probably the only one we have right now.

Steed and Jennings are a nice duo at LB, but we need another one. A MLB type who can run. Mike Smith is simply not good enough to be a player who plays a lot here.

This is currently a class full of solid kids, most all of them are good enough to be here, so it's solid, but the true difference makers are lacking a bit. This looks to be a bit more of a slow burn than I expected in the beginning, and with some of the class setups, if we do not land a couple more serious, blue chip immediate helper type kids, we probably will see a gradual upward movement rather than a big uptick.

I have to agree with most of what you said aside from Njoku. I like him but I think it will take a bit of time before he comes into his own.

Dingle will be a good possesion receiver but we are lacking explosiveness.

I've always been big on Felix. I love his potential and I actually think we should consider him as a WR too.

I agree whole heartedly on what you said with Amari. I think some are thinking he's automatically going in the box. I think he could play some center field as well as in the box, I like his range.(One thing I will note, the guys we have and pursuing at safety next year. Rangy guys. Jobe, Hall & Frierson the most likely 3. They play with great range. Nadab Joseph & CJ Smith as well.)

Big fan of Steed for a long time. Criminally underrated.

I'm actually not that high on Jennings. He's a thumper for sure but I'm very concerned with him dropping back in coverage.

I feel there is more difference makers next year, especially at DB & WR. 2017 IMO has been down within the tri-county for WR's and DB's. More top heavy in 2018, even the plan B's would be good enough to make other classes.
