I agree with the sentiment in this thread. The atmosphere was really nice also.

BUT WE STILL LOST. That's all that matters to recruits. I bet they were in the FSU locker room.

most visitors actually don't care who wins as long as they have a good time and the game isn't a blowout.

Winning and losing is not all that matters to recruits.

The recruits probably had a good time since it wasn't a blowout and most probably saw opportunities to make impacts early.
 
Thanks guys for all the feedback. I've been a diehard 'Cane fan since 1973, and I now live 700 miles away. Used to work in Miami and would sneak off to watch practices even when Kehoe was a player. But I can't swing by anymore - so it's great to live through you guys to get some first-hand experiences and even some hearsay.

I've seen some really, really dark times, and seen the really, really good times - and I much prefer the really, really good times.

I live in FSU and Alabama territory, and can't help but have friends from those schools. A few diehard FSU fans were volunteering that we have a really, really talented group of youngsters, and they conveyed their utmost respect for the way they fought - and said I'd be bragging like **** in a couple years as I'd have a lot to brag about.

When have you ever heard a recruit say "I'm going to school A because they beat school B during the season?"

The fact that we kept it close, but still lost, shows recruits that we are missing a few key pieces and that they can come in and potentially be those missing pieces.

Guys like Collins, Thomas, Tim Williams, etc... can come in and play right away.

The trolling is getting real ******* old, especially on the recruiting board. Then he will be displaced again to the WEZ where he will cry he was banned and all his people will neg you for agreeing he was beating a dead horse and boring the **** out of a decent board.

Being an anti-Miami trolling ****stick on the recruiting board is counterproductive to the team and players. Trolling or not, it is getting old fast.

Am I the only one upset about how this team played on Saturday? Really? That offensive play calling was atrocious. Tell me why would Alex Collins want to come here when we have Mike James sitting on the bench on 3rd and 2 from the 10 yard line? Why would a WR want to come here with Morris running backwayds and just throwing up ducks for the past 4 games?

The play call on that 3rd and 2 wasn't atrocious. As has been pointed out on this board a few times, Mike James was wide open for a first, and most likely a score. Morris made the wrong read.

FWIW your a trolling fsu fan and everyone on the board knows this. I don't even read what you post most of the time. I'm guessing the rest of the Cane fans on this site don't also. Good luck and I hope UF beats your a@@. Go Canes
