Pete, DT recruiting

DT will work itself out as long as Kool is here. He doesn't need to be Trooper Taylor as a slick recruiter. He can recruit with something called results and track record.

He'll find good players and develop them. They might not be the big recruit star heroes like Keith Bryant, Fat Valentine or Lil' Shaver Manuel. But he'll find dogs he will mold into killers.

Don't be surprised to see us continue to look at big-framed HS DEs with good motors and not the typical 300+ pound oaf with a questionable motor who occasionally overpowers HS OL.

Than why not Chatman ? This would also help lock down a few kids @ AH

I assume you mean Drew Chatfield, and not jamarcus Chatman.
Who does this help us with? We aren't getting Surtain. He's not going to change whether Campbell chooses us or tOSU.
Plus, we no longer are in the business of package deals, when one of the players involved isn't worth a scholarship. Al Golden isn't the coach, we don't need to do that

Feels good to have a coach you don't have to question doesn't it? His evaluations won't be perfect because no one's are. But they don't have to be perfect. He'll produce with whoever he brings in.

Flaky ******* didn't help LSU all that much did he? I don't think Chatman is anywhere near a can't miss type that we need to panic over.

Definitely agree!! Coach Kul is a very special talent, he knows talent and his strongest talent, is he knows how to develop players into studs!! A lot of coaches get credit for developing kids that already are studs, BUT this guy makes players better.. Miami's DLine improved in 1 season under this guy (can't forget about Diaz for his system too), BUT under the last regime, Miami's DLine was horribly misused and players were not developed!! Now we get Coach Kul and he turns a true freshman into a sack machine..

When it comes to recruiting, Coach Kul doesn't seem to pressure recruits.. He goes after the ones he wants and makes them understand that they are a top target for him, BUT he doesn't seem to pressure them and I think this cycle Miami will sign at least 3 DTs, and at the end of the day, we can say that's recruits that Kul wanted and he got them..

After Coach Kul's 2nd full year in Miami, our Canes might/WILL have 3 DLs selected in the 1st- 4th round of the NFL draft!! (Norton, McIntosh, Thomas)

**That alone will help Kul recruit studs here**
