Perryman destroys RB in scrimmage

Its not even this one hit, this is how he ran all season. He is far to slow to be running that upright and needs to run behind his pads more for being as big as he is. He isnt bad, but with Duke and now Yearby and Chocolate and the rest of the incoming backs coming in he needs to step his **** up if he wants to get any carries in the future.

wow somebody gets it, i honestly think he avoids contact

**** fullback saw DP coming and decided to go help out the TE double team a block. I don't know if I'd want to get in front of DP with a full head of steam either, but he got Gus run the **** over.

Gus needs to run with some urgency.

Thats just it he doesnt have it and will be passed by everybody. People keep saying he's a big rb a different type of rb on the team. He is the biggest running back on the team but he is the softest one on top of that. I see a transfer in the future for him
He is a fullback and should be used like najeh

Only reason Najeh ended up at FB was because of the injury he had, Najeh was a ******* STUD at RB pre-injury if you were able to witness back then.

Edge and Najeh would have been the ******* duo man. Najeh had redic speed at his size before injury.

I think Tucker fits what we would be looking for in a Najeh role at FB. Btw, Tucker got some ridiculous speed at his size, could be a weapon there.

I do think Gus can be good, I don't see great. But he really needs to step it up.

Think Gus profile coming out of high school was a fullback too.

I've said and felt it before. It's make or break for Gus this year. Scarlett and Williams are on their way for 2015(I think Cronk ends up at safety, explained this before in another thread.) and Walton in 2016. And Yearby already passed him up and Gray making early raves with really no play book down pack yet.

Gus runs too upright, it's like he's doing the opposite of what he should be doing with his size, and he doesn't have speed either, needs to use his strength and lower the pads, he could be a good back like that. He try's to play like a speed/scat back.

If Gus doesn't step up more this season, see a move to fullback or a transfer. Cause he WILL get passed up if he doesn't put up. It's go time, I've seen good things from him too, but this is make it or break it season for him at RB.

I saw more missed blocks, half-assed blocks, and slow-assed effort on the part of the line than the law allows.

Our line is going to get some QB's and RB's killed this way.

Look at our prized DTs on the floor lol, a cutt back from a good back and he's gone

@Manny_Navarro: #Canes LB Denzel Perryman was back in a black starter's jersey Thursday. Said he was overly aggressive in scrimmage, led to mistakes

I guess he was too aggressive for Doritos.

Luther Robinson all over again. We don't want penetration!

I'm trying not to be bias but I dislike the *** out of Doritos and it's starting to move over to Golden cause they won't change the defensive scheme. I'm ****ed off bout that ****

Looks like a stretch play to the boundary.

There was nowhere for Gus to go. He had to take that one for the team. LOL

gus isnt seeing the field his whole career with gus and yearby here. yearby and duke are both better backs....and short yardage backs. gus has no role other then being a backup. why are people hyping gus the bust up? he aint on miami RB caliber back..no shame in that.
