I saw more missed blocks, half-assed blocks, and slow-assed effort on the part of the line than the law allows.

Our line is going to get some QB's and RB's killed this way.

Gus needs to run with some urgency.

Thats just it he doesnt have it and will be passed by everybody. People keep saying he's a big rb a different type of rb on the team. He is the biggest running back on the team but he is the softest one on top of that. I see a transfer in the future for him

What happened there has nothing to do with Gus. Problem is that our OL let a first team AA MLB run free.

actually the entire Defense is pretty much in the backfield. Wish we had the entire play so we could see the full sequence. Gus has run hard this camp. Not fair to single him out as soft on that play.

He is a 230 pound running back who is doesnt like to lower his pads and gain them hard yards? Yeah OL got blown up too however you need be able to lower your pad level and grind out yards instead of just getting blown up. Write this down he will be beat out by everybody in the 2015 class . He will be another Crow if he sticks around at Miami just holding up a scholarship

Gus didn't want any of that work

Gus' pads often end up parallel to the LOS when Perryman is coming and there are many running backs around the country who will be doing the VERY same thing.

@Manny_Navarro: #Canes LB Denzel Perryman was back in a black starter's jersey Thursday. Said he was overly aggressive in scrimmage, led to mistakes

I guess he was too aggressive for Doritos.

Luther Robinson all over again. We don't want penetration!

not that this matters to anyone but DP - but I talked with a pro scout who was drooling over that hit (among others). We aren't the only ones watching.....

Over pursuit is what leads to those big *** holes in our zone on 3rd down in this scheme. Whether you like it or not, that is what we got this year, so we better get used to it and our guys better get on the same page with it. OR we can have Perryman going a million miles an hour and saying **** his assignment and the tight end/slot receiver/running back that slipped out of the backfield catching another 30 yard pass.

We jest about this aggressive issue, we get called mopes, we "derail" threads....but in all seriousness, this appears to be a legitimate problem and unfortunately it doesn't appear that Dorito (and AG) are adapting. For all the good that is happening around this program recently, I fear one bad half of football on 9/1 is going to wash it down the drain.

It was a joke! Lighten up Francis.
