Call it a failure now and get it out of your system, to avoid the emotional meltdown later.
We’re not sitting at the adult table. You have to listen to what people say. We didn’t listen to Jobe, he gave off all the signals. This guy isn’t even wavering - he’s said we’re not in the ballpark. Let’s listen this time instead of projecting. Unless someone can show me differently.
Now, we don’t give up we keep recruiting him. But keep this in mind.
I'll keep in mind that some of you guys are bent on trying to keep expectations down. Sign him, or you failed. Too much in our favor to botch this or Campbell.
Cuck is a different story completely from this guy, so I don't know what his situation has to do with it.
So if you dont sign a player who really never had any real interest in your program, it's a failure? Sound logic.
Why did he come to two games and have his parents go with him if he's not interested? Why's he coming here on an OV if he's not interested? Why did he say he's interested if he's not interested?
You guys need to quit with this false narrative that he's never had any interest or that trying to convince him to come here is some sort of Herculean task?
Recruiting is sales. I don't want to hear about you clowns surrendering and trying to convince the rest of us that we shouldn't be able to sign a kid who played football for our CB coach, whose dad is friends with our CB coach, and who lives down the street from campus all his life. If his interest was minimal under the prior failure of a staff, we've had 2 years to convince him why he should come here.
