Paris Ford

Reminds me of Kai Hester , doesn't seem all that fast but plays physical. Looks like a good player but the rating seems high, he's a definite take doe

he has supposedly timed at a 4.4 and 4.5. good s & c might help him. some u guys have a stigma tho that if a kid is not from So Flo, he is slow. hester was faster than carter or jenkins prob JJ too.
You know it's a stigma, all that sh*t should be over with. You put Jeff Thomas in south Florida and he would still be the most explosive player on the field and he from a powerhouse school in east st louis

Um no, I watched his film and he seemed like he wasn't moving that fast. I don't care about stigmas, I judge with eyes watching film. Not by stars or 40 times like most here.

That's why I liked some of the three star prospects more than some of the 4 stars, some people can't get past stars or ratings. If this guy was a 3 star most here would be like " he's a nice prospect but his speed seems iffy"

Like I said " he's physical and is a definite take". I just don't see great speed , just because you have a good 40 doesn't make you play fast on the field. If you don't believe venture over to the Holmes thread.

Am I saying he's too slow? No, he's just doesn't seem all that fast. Which I think is greatly overrated , especially at safety.

I mean we just haven't had true speed at that spot in years. Highsmith, Rodgers, carter, Jenkins Jaqua... yeah those guys were blazers...

I dont trust film with all the editing today at my school we have editing software that can speed up film in small increments.. Real live watching is the best tool. My own eyes is all I trust

Maybe somebody edited Fords film and slowed it down, true? That's what it is.

What's funny is how rustled people are at me saying he doesn't seem that fast " but look past me saying speed gets overrated , he's physical and a definite take".

Some need to unrustle their jimmies

It's not an issue, all I was saying is that he's a playmaker. He definitely not the fastest safety but he's a ballhawk which is what we need. Miami didn't get beat much at all deep and our safeties wasn't that fast.

half the people on this board was cj henderson so bad because his speed yet people said he was abused all week in UA practice.

Which makes my point. Everybody is hard for this dude because of his speed. That's it, that's all we know, he's fast , oh and from sfla. He literally has no CB film and isn't even raw at the position. A position that's just as technical as any position in football. If he ran a 4.55 people would lose their erections and say he's " meh". Even though many great CB run in that range.

You can't teach speed, but you can teach him to play CB. (see Sam Shields)

Give me the burners all day everyday.

Other than JJ none of those guys had intangibles or awareness . They were also very meh athletes.

I'm a Jj fan, he's not a blazer but is fast enough. He also has great awareness , and that's why he's always around the ball.

What are you talking about ? He played CB at Miami from his Fr year. He was talking changing positions and used shields because he's fast. Reading comprehension bro.

There's plenty of dual sport guys who played football and track. I'm saying if speed was everything just go get track guys at your local track

You just said "let's croot the track." DVD ran a blazing 40. That didn't make him a better football player. Corn Elder's film told me he was a baller, not his track time.

My point was that I'll take a speed "athlete" out of HS, with no concrete position yet, over a kid who's slower but has 4 years of HS experience @ said position.

In CFB, moreso than even the pros, speed and coaching will easily make up the difference between those 2 athletes, and the speedster in the longrun will have more to offer that college (not to mention special teams, etc).

But the Sam Shields argument I made was just to illustrate that it was Shield's jets that got him a contract in the NFL, not his skill at any one position (who wouldn't have lasted in the league at WR).

It's amazing that some didn't pick up on Crib's sarcasm.

OK, this thread needs to get back on track. FWIW, Ford's latest tweet is a positive retweet for the U. [TWEET]817707447032778753[/TWEET]

That play at 1:15 was sick

The Whole thing is impressive. Is that music Carol City's own Denzel Curry?

What you know about Denzel Curry? That boy got bars. Him and Kodak are my top freshman in the game.

You guys turned me on to it with that Adidas commercial and when I played it for my young kids who live in the DC/MD/VA area, they looked at me like I was crazy bc they knew it. Now they got me playing Purple Lamborghini every time they get in the car.

**** Denzel all the way in the DMV. I like it. The Zenith is his best track. It gets me hyped. Amazing lyricist.
