Paradise Camp 2017 (July 21-22)

It rained, but not during the camp you negative ****wads

My office is in Coral Gables near ponce circle. That's like 2 miles from UM. The rain started to come down here sometime around 12:15-12:30pm EST. My understanding is the camp portion of the event was in the morning. Do what you want with that information.

I usually don't ready into all the visits and off season stuff but I'm actually surprised at who isn't coming. We have hall of fame alumni going to be there and we have locals kids declining to come to the camp. Kinda strange.

Been saying this. Other than the 2019 guys, this year's visitor list is fairly lackluster, especially considering all the former stars we're bringing in. Not even going to bother speculating as to the reason, but it's definitely odd.

Careful - The White Knights will be out to decapitate you for dare challenging these kids' interest, especially the commits, for not visiting our biggest event all year.

Our 2018 class is 75-80% complete. It makes no sense to invite a bunch of 2018 recruits you have no intention of recruiting. Common sense people.

This camp is really for the 2019 2020 classes

Just my opinion but if some of the 2018 guys scheduled to appear were not committed to Miami (Lingard, Jobe, Blades, Hall etc.) we would not feel that way. Plenty of studs on campus tomorrow getting coached up by our guys. That's what we want.

In the back of my mind that was a thought. Our class is locked up pretty much so not sure how much the coaches want to ruffle the feathers by bringing its down that we have no shot at. Richt has mentioned before that this is a 2-3yr game now in recruiting so it makes sense that 2019-2020 classes are the focus while 2018 is the icing for our commits and a few uncommitted that we have targeted.

I get this. Honestly, I do, but I just don't see it as a totally valid counterargument. I'm simply confused as to how we were unable to get more big names to arguably the biggest recruiting event of the summer of the #2 (according to composite) class in the country. Maybe I'm being greedy, but I'm personally going to be a bit disappointed if we settle with filling out the class with several three star projects.

Trust me, I'm well aware no one wants to hear that, but that's how things are looking right now unless we surprise and win the ACC title. It's still a VERY good class, but with all the talent already on board, one would think it wouldn't be too difficult to at least get some higher profile guys to Paradise. The DL recruiting in particular is puzzling to me right now - Kool will have us solid there regardless, but bringing in a bunch of JUCO guys is only a short term solution. Would have been huge to get a guy like Tyler Friday or Trevor Trout to Paradise.

Not trying to be a downer because it's a great class already. Just seems most of our remaining targets are more projects than anything.

I get why people are upset about us not having uncommitted guys out there. It's not necessarily that we land a bunch of huge guys but from a program standpoint it looks better if guys like Parsons, sustain, terrace Marshall and Campbell were there. Even tho Campbell is the only legitimate guy we could land of those it's the fact that big name players are at least here gives more buzz to the program. But let's not forget Sheffield is a huge name for 2019 and if Dent does come along with Elam it kinda feels like last year when we had pope amd lingard there for it. Just my two cents though

Man, some of y'all boys could be at a party with Kim K, Kylie, Naomi, Rihanna, Halle, Selita, Chanel, Eva Mendes, Katy, Adriana, Heidi, Nicki, and Minka Kelly, but'll be complaining bc Kate Upton ain't there talkin' bout "I wish there were more bad bishes here."

This year's line up of players AND coaches is superior to last years. I don't get it.
