Why is Surtain's recruitment any different than Campbell's?

It seems no one even cares that he's not considering the Canes. Rumph was his coach as well.

Sounds like Tweed and company are not satisfied with the job Rumph has done recruiting.

How do you get that Tweed is dissatisfied with Rumph, from his post?
All I saw was simply a comparison between 2 recruits, and how different we react to the two situations.
No matter how good/bad, a recruiter/coach is..the final say lies with the student,.. Not the coaches, nor us fans! Getting all butthurt about someone else's decision, is really pointless, especially when we already have the makings of one of the best classes in the last decade or so.

Thank you. SMH

I never understood why people think that HS coaches have some huge influence over where kids go to school at.

Well, we were told that Rumph was like a father figure for Campbell, so people got their hopes up even without him showing any sign of desire to be a Cane.

At this time, if he really dont come to Paradise, we can officially cross him off the list!

Might have to start up Miami fruitpop crybaby thread on here dam..all this crying over Campbell and y'all lucky this ain't Facebook so people can't see the weak builds that match the weak mindsets

Stop with the over reaction , Miami had multiple commits(Thomas, Herbert, bandy) and others not come to paradise camp and still signed.

If this makes you feel better osu 247 writer just posted this 1 hour ago, considering osu is the school conjuring up most of the cane tears for some of you....(I thought it was pretty interesting)

2) There has been a decent amount of talk about what cornerback Tyson Campbell is going to do. In my last WIAH I mentioned that one thing I heard in Oregon was that if Campbell were going to decide right now the pick would probably be Ohio State over Miami. I also said if Campbell were to take official visits three of them would likely be Ohio State, Miami and Florida State, and the longer this one plays out the harder it may be to win for the Buckeyes.

I was also told by someone with knowledge of Campbell's recruiting situation that the source did not know where Campbell was going to go, but was confident in saying he would not end up at Ohio State. Right now, the most likely destinations for Campbell if he doesn't end up at Ohio State would be Miami, Florida State, LSU, or perhaps Clemson. Personally I feel the Buckeyes are very much in the running, but according to at least one source, he will end up at another school.

I think he's doing what his peeps have told him and is seeing what other schools have to offer. He knows what Miami has and knows rumph is here. I think he ends up signing here.

I think you're overreacting. I have no idea where he ends up, but I certainly don't think you can cross him off the list at this point.
