Over/under: 7 Wins

Under. I see us struggling early and some of the youngsters hitting some mental walls. Things will turn around towards the end of the year and we will win our last 3 or 4 games.

Push. If I have to choose one or the other, I'll go under. Too little depth to withstand injuries, too little chance of avoiding these injuries.

Over.

**** schedule will give us a chance to gut out a win every week.

We are mentally and physically more prepared this year than in the past and that alone will win us a few of the close ones.

2012 Canes: Over/Under 7 wins?

State your case.

BC - win - BC simply sucks
KS - loss - but close
BC - win - it's Band Day
GT - win - do not fear the option
NCS - toss up
ND - toss up
NC - toss up
FS - loss - maybe next year
VT - toss up - Hokies come in way overconfident
V - win - cavs way overated
USF - win
D - win

I think we'll win two of those toss up games, for 8 wins.

What are the odds on each side of the bet?

If even, I take the under and expect a push.

FWIW, I think Vegas has it at -200 for the under and +160 for the over.

I think people are severely underrating coaching continuity.

Everyone might not be happy with all of the coaches but for the most part, this is the strongest overall staff we have had in years. Add to the fact that everyone is back and things like that can get you over the hump when you have a lot of toss-up games.

Word. Having the same staff is worth its weight in friggin gold. Add to that a schedule in which every game is winnable and we're talking more than 7 wins. Like you said, I think the more developed mental toughness factors into us turning 2 of those close games into wins rather than losses.

Over.
