Look at your hypocrisy. You may not be able to do much about the twitter problem, but your board has just as much of a negative impact on recruits. Clean this **** up!!!
Please. I'll admit it gets bad, but this board isn't any different than any other UM board, or even any school's message board for that matter. Whenever a kid decommits from any school, some ****** from that respective fanbase says something dumb on either a message board, comment section of a blog, or on twitter. It's always followed by a fan from another fan base that replies with a, "stay classy" type response, or "y u mad". Stop pretending this is a Caneinsight thing, or even a Miami thing. It happens everywhere.
Yes, there is negativity and b*tching on every board, but Im sorry, this board has gone WAY off the deep end over the last few weeks, and its unacceptable IMO. I realize that you are trying to rationalize this and make excuses since you are supposed to be a "moderator" on here, and yet you spend more time on here bashing everything about the program and piling on and adding fuel to the frenzy. Im on a slew of UM message boards, and NONE that I am on have gotten this bad. Yes people are concerned and there is complaining and panic, but the non stop viotriol, vicious insults against players, recruits, coaches, the program, in thread after thread after thread, is not going on on "all" Canes messsage boards. You have some of it everywhere, but NOTHING like what this place has become. For all his bullsh*t, Ferman does at least try to keep his board under control.
I mean I really dont understand what you guys think. You advertise this site and want EVERYONE to come here, spread the word, make it the #1 Canes site, do you not think then that players and recruits will also hear about it and come here? And what do you think is going to be the outcome of them coming here and reading page after page after page, EVERY SINGLE DAY, of people insulting our coaches and accusing them of every level of incompetence, treason, avarice, lying, trashing recruits, players, etc.... What is a recruit who is torn between UM and FSU think, if they come in here, and see EVERY thread full of UM fans calling our coach a fat lying scumbag loser that is destroying the program, with some going as far to suggest that recruits would be stupid to come here. I mean WHAT THE F*CK. What the F*CK do you guys think these 17 and 18 year old kids are going to think? How many times do you have to hear it from the HORSE's mouth before you get it through your thick skulls?
Teddy B was RELISHING how he got to basically "stick it" to UM fans at the Bowl game. He has been VERY public since he left for UL how much he LOATHES our fanbase for how we treated Jacory. You have our own recruits that have been calling out our fans on Twitter since LAST year, and you all act like its no big deal. You now have former players telling our fans to STFU and stop bashing players and recruits online and on Twitter, and even Pete, the guy who you all listen to on recruiting is telling you it is HURTING US. And yet you STILL insist on sh*tting all over this program publically, day in and day out. We are CURRENTLY engaged in competition to LURE recruits to play at UM. That is the ONLY way we are likely to get better any time soon. And you guys are doing NOTHING but making this job infinitely more difficult with this endless sh*tshow on here every day.
You can go ahead and play that "Oh everyone does it", or "if a kid is that stupid that he is going to be offended by twitter/the internet/etc we dont want him", but that is flat out BULLSH*T. Sometimes in recruiting, in close battles, ANY little thing can tip the scales, we have it now from the recruits own WORDS that its bothering them, and if/when we do end up losing some of these "on the fence" kids, you guys will then turn around and act like it was all the fault of someone else, not just a spoiled and out of control fanbase that cant seem to do anyting but sh8t all over everything related to the program they claim to love.
