Our DL Room is FILTHY

Hopefully with Bain back, we finish these pressures a bit more. Only averaging 2.3 sacks per game in the last 3, which would slot us outside the top 35 nationally in sacks.

Fwiw, we’re still currently top 15 with 3/game, but it’s being buoyed by early season results. Nitpicking here obviously, but wrapping up when we get in the backfield/not allowing QBs to step up in the pocket is key when we start playing better teams later in the season.
Getting the occasional holding call would help, if only to keep offensive lineman form unapologetically holding on every play with no fear of a penalty being called.

Had posters on here saying Baron took a step back the last few games and I didnt know what they were looking at..Baron has been a beast this entire year and has been our most dependable DE. Im half concerned he might burn out before we get to the ACC title game. His total season snap count ill bet is the most of anyone on our Defense.

Really need Alston and someone else to step up Like Bryant to give Miami 4 DE.

Need another DT to step up as well.

Would be nice for Miami to get an early lead on FSU so some of the younger guys can get some snaps

Is it just me or has Tyler Baron disappeared against better comp?

Go Canes!
Someone on here gave the scouting report on him prior and if I remember correctly the term they used is he is a "can crusher".. That he will eat on crappy opponents and disappear in conference which seems to be exactly what is happening here..

He has missed a couple of sacks in recent weeks, but whatever..

Baron has still been playing really good, he was playing at a first round level vs bad comp. Just because he isn’t getting sacks that doesn’t mean he isn’t playing well.

Literally our best pass defense vs Louisville was the dline getting pressures lol maybe if we could cover and contain the pocket we could turn these pressures into sacks

According to the board, It’s only cuz teams are getting away with holds non stop
I mean, are you watching the DLine? Or are you watching the opposing QB? We've had guys get literally tackled to the ground with hands around their hips and no calls on it.

Dudes are getting held for sure. However, are guys are not getting home and they also aren’t finishing on the chances they do get. Being held is not the only reason for the DL’s lack of production

I think we are just finding any holes in the boat we can find at this point. Because I would argue our DL is the only reason our D isnt historically bad right now. Im talking "D'Nofrio" era bad because the play of the back 7 has been below average at best.

Facts.

my 8yr old son recognized and called out one of the holdings that didn't get called..
