Our dbs vs fsu receivers

I think their passing game against our pass D is a nightmare matchup for UM. We don't rush the passer well enough, and our Safeties are poor. Give Jemima time, and he will find receivers. They don't have to be that open either. We're going to have to rely on something other than this aspect of the game to win.

I also foresee a healthy rotation of DL. We have the bodies this year and I think you'll see guys like Gilbert, McCord play more. We're cooked if we don't put pressure on Winston.

With all due respect, Tracy cannot shut down Green (no one in college football can for that matter). The entire secondayr will have to tackle great, and not allow explosive YAC plays.

LOL. After watching our pass defense the last 2 weeks who in their right mind thinks it will magically look better against FSU? UNC and Wake, at times, were performing surgery on our defense. Wasn't Wake's QB like 14-15 at one point? They didn't kill us deep but they took whatever else they wanted. 3rd and 4 and we were playing loose zone coverage. Easy completions for 1st downs. Slants, out-routes, drags, etc. And the open-field tackling was poor against UNC and Wake, so what's it gonna be like aganist FSU's offensive players?

If D'Onofrio comes with a different game plan then we have a chance, but if we run the same garbage it's gonna be a slaughter. There's too many easy completions to be had in this defense and OC's are content with dinking and dunking us all the way down the field. (something our OC refuses to do)

I'm gonna bash my TV if FSU spreads us out from the get-go and we're rushing 3 and dropping everyone else and Winston has 6-7 secs to throw and he either hits wide open drags across the middle or scrambles for 10+ every time. Donofrio HAS to be aggressive and bring heat on winston. Can't afford to adjust and change up if they go up 14-0, quickly.

I agree our defense is better than last year version, but Winston is 10x better than Manual as well. It's going to be tough to watch if we don't get pressure, and Morris curls up in a corner on the other side of the ball.

Did I read that right, CaneMang? Nobody in college football can stop Rashard Greene? Really?? So you are basically labeling him "un-stoppable". Ok. Im sure Tracey will love to hear that. LOL. Man come on. RG is a very good WR but lets not make it seem like we need to shadow a safety to his side. Tracey will be depended on to moreso hold his own out there. This is where the money is made. Either TH is up for it or hes not.

Winston has to have a bad game throwing because hes always on the money it seems. If he has an off game and we can get pressure we can keep it close, watch out for Freeman though hes a fast ****. Thanks Randy

I'm less worried about our d than I am about our O. They are going to put up points no matter how well our defense plays, so we'll need to put up around 40 to win and our offense has played very pedestrian against two mediocre opponents recently. I think if our defense gets a few third down stops and we win the turnover battle than its anyone's game. ..if not then expect me to be drinking heavily at half time

I remember last year. We were tight with FSU in that game and then our youth showed.
Duke had turf toe, Morris could barely walk.
This is going to be a tight game.

I hope Perryman welcomes O'leary like he did last year.
Pretty much knocked him out of the game.

We have to play well and hit them with murder in our hearts.

I think this game comes down to a last second field goal, and that's where I'm worried, as Goudis scares me.
Goudis is no Carlos Huerta. More like a traditional FSU kicker.
I'd feel safer with our cyborg punter drop kicking.

This gives me hope. We are a much better team. More experience, better conditioned and mentally and physically tough. These guys are all in and so am I.

GO CANES!!!!! WE CAN BEAT THE noles!!!!

We need to hit Winston hard on FSUs first drive of the game. Make him start thinking instead of just sitting back and ripping passes. I haven't seen Winston get hit much at all. Our dline starts hitting him early but also keeps him contained and the dbs have a **** of an easier time.

The problem I see is Benjamin is a mismatch if he ever gets a one on one. And pray Greene doesnt run a fly with Highsmith at safety cause that will be an easy 6

Covering #1, #5 and #80 scares me.
