Our dbs vs fsu receivers

Funny, this was one of the few matchups I had us winning over FSU. I think our DBs can definitlely stay with their WRs. The Crawford/Shaw matchup will come down to technique because he definitely wont be getting "out-athleted". Now the LB vs TE matchup is a whole diff story. I expect OLeary to have a field day.

I dont think we see McDerm much in this game. That is why I am not so afraid of Jernigan. I think Al puts Wheeler in VERY early against him. Will he shut him down? No. But he **** sure is gonna give him a fight for 4qtrs. He will win some and lose some. Thats really all you can ask for. The other 4 guys should be able to hold their own. (Meaning Linder, Felaciano, Flowers, Seantrel) There is no Werner or Tank on this front line. Casher is the closet thing.

That's definitely what I was thinking but I hate to say it I want Henderson to start imo he's a hause I need linder inside

We are giving up yards because teams are passing against our LBs when they are covering wide outs, we cant have that against this team

Does anybody here think that Benjamin is a better receiver than Artie Burns is a cornerback?
Everyone is a bit down on Artie because he got burned a bit against Wake, but I'd start him, Tracey and Crawford, and move Gunter to free safety.
Put Artie on Benjamin all game. Benjamin is big but he's not fast, quick or explosive out of his breaks. He doesn't jump that high either.
I'd say Artie wins that battle most of the game.
Tracey will be Tracey. He's a shutdown corner.
Crawford seems to be very good at blowing up those bubble screens.

Rodgers was handling Ebron until he got dinged, and O'Leary is no Ebron.
Walford is better than O'Leary. Last year O'Leary went all Tim Brown after that hit by DP.

I like our DB's against their wr's better than I like their db's against our guys.

I also really hope Seantrel can get out of the doghouse in time to dominate Christian Jones. The happiest guys in America are ACC defensive ends, when Seantrel is on the bench.

Yes we need him he looks to finally be that demarcus ware type player everyone thought he'd be. I love artie I watch his highlights daily I believe he's gonna be the best corner to ever come here but he's still a little wet behind the ears but maybe Saturday he takes over I'd love it.

T. Howard is playing solid D...but Greene is gonna get his. Howard is gonna have is hands full.

I like our DB's against their wr's better than I like their db's against our guys.

Sorry to be Debbie downer...but I wish I shared your optimism. We seem to give up a lot of receptions and YAC to receivers who's passes come from drop back passers.

If I'm wrong...or am proved wrong Sat. around midnight, trust me, I'll gladly fess up to it.

Most of the other receiver from wakes quick hitters and crafty scheming. Albeit catches came after the catch by missed takles and ankle bitters and north Carolina other then ebrons one big play no 1 else really took off I mean gunter had a blunder but he played well other then that play and we know th3s the truth.

Ebron made our defense look like a JV squad. Did you watch the game?

Yes but other then the 73 yards on the broken play no 1 else has done that to us we have given up 7 really big plays with our starters in that was it. He's a legit 1st rounder who else did something against us on their team

need Ladarius at CB, not safety. Put the players at their best positions. The FSU player I'm most concerned for is their TE...seems Miami always has an issue with tight ends.

We do but it's apart of the zone we run is my guess it prevents deep throws but short stuff really messes it up.

I think their passing game against our pass D is a nightmare matchup for UM. We don't rush the passer well enough, and our Safeties are poor. Give Jemima time, and he will find receivers. They don't have to be that open either. We're going to have to rely on something other than this aspect of the game to win.

I think rayshawn and kacy are good with deon coming back that's ******** with us but they aren't letting things get deep

I think our DBs can cover their WRs up to a certain point.

The problem will arise when Winston isn't getting pressured and he has time to scan the field for a receiver to break open. Especially if FSU decides to pass on 1st and 2nd down when we're still in our base D with Chick and Green on the field.

Bingo. The key is getting pressure on Winston. If he has 5-6 sec to throw it, it doesn't matter who we have covering who. Have to get pressure on him and keep him contained.
