I feel nothing but absolute disgust for our "admin". If you can even call them that.

Of course we'll self impose after another pathetic home crowd showing at our last home game (I attended it personally.....glad we pushed USF's **** in).

What a total travesty for these football players, coaching, and staff on this current team.

Donna Mountain Troll Shalala has personally overseen the annihilation of this football program since she took over. Based on sheer results both on the field and who she has selected to "lead" (really? LOL!) our athletic department.

Make no mistake our admin could have done this at the beginning of the year or much sooner.


On to the NCAA....

Really guys? Really? PSU's scandel of the millenium got it's punishment SIX MONTHS after it was brought into the sunlight.

I'm an alumnus as well and if you wanna talk medical research her venture into that field has been almost as horrendous as her selections to run the athletic department.

Then again walking around campus now a days I notice why our support sucks as bad as it does on gameday. You're clearly in that crowd.

LOL @ anyone thinking she's off limits because we're ranked 35th in the country in academic's. Newsflash this football team injected way more money into the "institution" back in the 80's to get it off the ground for Tad Foote than anything else.

If he were, he would know that Shalala has made your degree a lot more reputable by the increase in school ranking, the exposure she has brought to UM and the medical "$" that we have.

Do I agree with everything she has done - no. However, I am thankful that my degree is from a top 50 institution and now when people see the U it is not only synonymous with football, but also with a world class institution.

We will get the football program back on track. Al is the right guy and if he isn't at least he is loaded up his recruiting classes for the next guy.

The medical program is in serious jeopardy because she made a horrendous decision to buy that hospital. Moving into the horrific stadium and saying "we don't have the money or space for a stadium closer to campus"..........winning Charlie Sheen style.

2. NCAA circumvented their process with PSU because of the explosive nature of the allegations. NCAA went to PSU and said sign off or else. Accordingly, you should thank your stars we are being run through the regular process as it is a clear signal we are not in PSU's league. Again, you are misinformed.

I typed my post prior to your post being up there.

The hospital is not the issue. The issue is the hiring of all these high paid doctors and researchers that are costing more than they are bringing in. The fault is on Goldsmicth and I guess you can say Shalala as the head of the University.

Also, you are being short sighted when it comes to the hospital. With all the healthcare reform which will now happen with the reelection of Barack (face palm), UM will be at the forefront of the future of Healthcare which will bring in huge amounts of money that will pay for the hospital ten-fold.

Short term, it hurt us in the fact that te doctors hired are lazy ***** which aren't seeing patients at the rate they should. Too busy playing golf and whatever else they do.

PSU also hired the former director of the FBI which conducted the investigation and produced a subsequent report of the findings which the NCAA based their punishment off of. The NCAA did not conduct their own investigation or else Penn State would have been in limbo for god knows how long.

3 athletic directors in 2 years: one was paul dee, who retired. one was kirby hocutt, who bailed out because he probably saw the **** storm that was coming. one was shawn eichorst, who got the job offer of a lifetime at nebraska. no one wants to be the athletic director here because we don't have the money to keep a solid one. unless someone wants to be at miami and is willing to make less money, it will always be that way.

stadium: the city of miami already knew that the marlins' place was going to be built on the old ob site. tell me where in miami you would build a college stadium? where near coral gables is a place that you could feasibly put a stadium and the roads required to not shut down the city for 5 hours in stopped traffic? the only spot that could remotely handle that is tropical park and the last time we considered that, fiu pulled the rug out from under us.

first of all, raising money for athletics is not her job. that's the athletic director's job. there are people who work in athletics who are there solely to get donations. if she spent her time raising money for athletics, she would be doing the university a disservice.

and contrary to popular belief, there are a lot of donors to the university academically who don't like the football team or don't care for athletics in general. in the same way, there are donors to athletics that don't care about the university. the difference is, there are a lot more people with money to donate that care about the academic side.
