10 JUCO Offensive Tackles FSU Could Pursue

I personally think with the loss of St Louis next year we should grab 1 Juco tackle to infuse talent at that spot. The young guys we currently have hasnt grabbed the spot and i feel as though Donaldson is currently being played out of position, though is servicable. There is atleast 3 south florida names that wouldnt be difficult pulls if we pushed in Kadeem Telfort, Willy Canty, Finley Felix to go along with Stringer Bell at OT.

Think we need a true Tackle. I love the film of the British kid.

We do seem to struggle with tackles.

As somebody who only notices the OL when they do something great or terrible, the whole thing looks like a mess to me. Do you think we're 1 OT from a decent line?

We should have a decent line this year if we had faith in a RT. I like Donaldson inside....Hayden Mahoney who i spoke high of at the end of the year and coming in...currently has graded out as our best OL.

I feel the Freshman that came in Reed, Scaife, and John Campbell are the types we should bring in every year. Im high on them. But i feel like were playing with Fire with the tackles were recruiting as Neal is not a lock...would like to bring him in with ANOTHER guy like a JUCO tackle. Tarquin is a good project tackle a kid that will play down the road. We need to hit on a kid that can play right away at Tackle or push for time. To me both Tackle jobs should be open next year.

We need a JUCO tackle for sure. Looks like we are looking at one now. Balmidele Olaseni. Everyone is banking on Neal coming but even if he does will he be ready day 1?

Neal appears to have the feet to be ready to get reps as an OT for us. Conditioning is key but his talent level says ready from Day 1

"This offensive line unit needs an infusion of talent and it can’t get to Tallahassee quick enough. To be fair, FSU has some talent on the interior, the only problem is, those guys are being played out of position at tackle due to a lack of capable bodies."

And who evaluated and recruited most all of this "talent"? Jimbo Fischer. Will be interesting to see him in the next couple of years at A&M

Diagree with the OP, I’ve seen Campbell and Hillery getting lots of PT at the T position along with Scaife. If we get Neal then we’ll be good at the T position. Also don’t forget about Herbert.
For me next year I’ve love to see:
LT: Hillery / Campbell
LG:Donaldson
C: Gaynor
RG: Scaife
RT: Neal / Herbert
