OT: Paul finebaum. says 1995 Nebraska team ever. drink bleac

I have said the same about the 2000'team. How they managed to lose that Washington game is one of the bigger mysteries of the world. That team was ridiculously stacked.

Nerves and anxiety will always overcome talent.

Going up to Seattle is no joke and that football team was **** good!!

Players had to shake off those early season jitters.

The 2001 team was outstanding(and because they have rings are the best in history), but I still think that the 2000 and 1986 teams would have given them a run for their money. The 2000 team was pretty much the 2001 team, with Reggie, Santana and Dan on the roster. The 1986 team was Jimmy's best, deepest squad, and it took Vinny crapping himself in the Fiesta for that team to not be champions.

That's the problem. I can't ever pick the 1986 team because of what Vinny did when it mattered most. Can't have a "best of " all time team and not be able to trust them in the biggest games.

Finebaum saying it automatically makes it false. I'm glad that **** tard didn't pick the 2001 Canes.

That Nebraska team was a helluva team, though.

Man you guys are so easily rustled. Just stop paying attention to these fools like Finebaum.

It's not like its that crazy of a statement. They completely dominated every game they played. Nebraska went undefeated in 1994, beating us in the Orange Bowl. Then went undefeated and destroyed everyone they played in 1995.

We definitely had the greatest roster every assembled. We had more talent than any college football team ever, and it's really not even a competition. Easily enough talent to completely dominate any team in history.

Its not like your wrong for thinking 95 Nebraska or 01 Miami is the greatest team of all time.

f*king inbred pos. says 1995 Nebraska Corn huskers is the best collwge football team ever. he can go drink bottle of bleach.
2001 miami hurricanes was the best. enough said

How anyone(ESPN) thinks this guys opinion carries any weight is beyond me. The guy just tongues SEC taint all day and gets a TV show. Best part of his show is Pollack making fun of him. The SEC is in decline, Ole Miss, Tenn, Auburn, Fla, Ga, LSU & TAMU all going the wrong way with the exception of Bama and Fanbaum is a a national joke. He knows Miami coming back an shutting down SFla is how they SEC finds it way back to the middle of the pack. I give that show another year before they pull the plug or replace it with some Big10 homer who spends the whole show blowing Harbaugh & Meyer. ESPN sucks.

Go Canes!

Actually, it's simple as to why ESPN has him on the air. He's wildly controversial and creates content / debate. We've already got two pages, how many will it go to?

That's media these days. Create a buzz, get hits, and lastly see how many people start to tune in to see what comes next.

That will likely get a lot of negs, but whatever. Who cares about that crap.

I think Nebraska that year would've given us a game. I'd feel as confident as I felt against Bama in the Sugar or OSU in the Fiesta, but strange things can happen. That's why they play the game, but to me '01 is the best, but they didn't always play like it. FSU's Winston team was **** good as well. The way they shot out of a cannon when the game started could put anyone on their heels if you didn't stop that surge at the whistle.

When it comes to talent there's no question it's the 2001 team. What allows even an argument about the best team is Coker, which lead to games like Boston College. That Nebraska team blew everyone out

The problem is they would be forced to pass against Dorsey and crew to keep pace on the scoreboard, would not be pretty....

That little gargoyle has a hard on for UM.
The real shocking thing in what he said is that he didn't say an $EC was the best.

The reality is that the 2001 Canes will never go down as the greatest team ever for two key reasons:

1) Larry Coker's fear of fear itself.
That team should have blown the doors off of everyone they faced but did not because their head coach was one of the five greatest pussies in the history of the sport. His nice guy nature prevented him from winning games as significantly as the team could have really cost them a chance at the #1 overall spot. We saw it from game 1 onward. We were up 30-0 at halftime and ended the game up 33-0. Coker had the team roll over and play dead for an entire half. If you wanna be the best ever, you have to win that type of game by 45+.

2) The ****ed-upped-ness of the BCS during the brief period where humans were taken away from controlling the title game matchup in favor of a pure computerized model. What a ******* disaster that was. Clearly the morons in charge of this never saw the movie War Games. We played a national title game against a team that lost its conference title game 62-36. Yes, a team that gave up 62 points and lost was awarded with a spot in the national title game. And in keeping with Coker's *****-*** game management approach, UM only scored 37 points as Larry took the air out of the football the entire second half.

I wonder how many people on here actually never saw that Nebraska team play?

They were more dominate on the field than Miami was. They had a team full of NFL players as well.

Their coaching would have made the difference. Miami **** near lost two games that year, BC and Va Tech. A miracle play and a missed 2 pointer saved the day.

To say that NU had no shot tells me that you never saw them play or are just a flat out Miami homer who doesn't know football.

DC DogNuts resurfaces.

Miami was built to stop the option. The 1995 Nebraska team played right into 2001 Miami's strength.

I believe 2001 Miami would have had a more difficult time with other teams (think USC in the mid 2000s) that had a more balanced offensive attack than with 1995 Nebraska.
