OT: Miami becoming a destination for Blue chippers?

Coach L with more 5 stars on a 13 man team than Rick has with 85 players. And L is doing it at a football school with zero tradition in basketball.

ok, but there are issues with your statement. You're spitting facts, but how many kids on our roster were TRULY Richt's recruits? Not an apologist, by any means, but dude ain't even had a complete recruiting cycle yet. Things don't completely change over night. Most of that blame lies at the feet of that other abject failure we had roaming our sidelines.

No more excuses. Rick is the HC. This is his class and it has nothing to do with Folden or anyone else. He needs to close like a monster because, so far, it's looking shaky.

True **** man people hate real ****

This 17 class is going to fall apart and they will blame wins and losses and schemes when Tennessee scheme is *** and they close

Kentucky and Duke do it and they cant do it for football......two different sports.....one doing well doesnt mean the other will

Oh but it does. Corallation equals causation, right?

1982 baseball NC
1983 football NC

1987 football NC
1988 crew NC
1989 football NC

2001 baseball NC
2001 football NC

What r the odds though?

Nah, I was just bored. Remembered how glorious 2001 was and did a little searching. I can't imagine that being good in one sport hurts the others, but I doubt it's helps that much either. At least the staff can take recruits to basketball games after football season's over.

I'll give it to you here if everyone says you despise Richt. Because shaky seems like a massive understatement right now.

How anyone can question Richt's recruiting is beyond me . He always had a top 10 class at UGA once he started winning . Once UM starts winning watch out. **** our class at this moment is top 15 and better then any of Golden's final classes. There is little difference between a class ranked 5th and 25th . There are usually 1-3 insane classes like what Bama does every year and then there are about 20 that are all great and we will have one of those this year. Richt will have one of those insane classes in the next 3 years I would bet though. But all Richt needs to do his keep the growing momentum he has with this class and finish strong which I suspect he will. So SO many of our freshmen this season are total studs and that will the case next season as well but to a stronger degree.

Tell me something... what makes this real right now? Because a couple of his recruits decommitted in the middle of the season? What makes this fact? Just cause yall so ****** stuck on this victim **** that everything has to fall apart for yall to feel vindicated? Come on that's just some ****ery. Hating on **** just for the sake of it. Lastly it's obvious as can be **** near no one was recruited in they days. Recruiting is all about relationships & building up trust & a report with the community, with kids & they families. Good kids are recruited now from middle school & up. From freshman or sophomore year till it's time to go. Yall wanna see the proof this staff playing chess while yall play go fish. Just watch all the youth league football teams & camps richt is interacting with on a regular. Laugh if you choose but he's recruiting when he does that. He's building rapport with coaches, kids & families. That's how you get monsters. No other way except payola. That's fact.take it as u wish.

On paper, it's a Golden class as of right now. And Shannon and Golden landed monsters in their first full seasons.

Maybe in a few years it looks good on the field, but Rick has a solid, unspectacular class right now. Couple stars in the making but a lot of questions. But if anyone can turn that around late, it's him.

Hard to win if he loses out on our top recruits like DJ and Donaldson

Duke has more 5 stars sitting on the bench. UM will never be more than an above average basketball team.

We won the ACC a couple years ago. What are you talking about?

One good season doesn't make you a great basketball program. Our program is above average.

We've been to the sweet 16 at least twice in the last 4 years.

So has Iowa State.
Iowa State is a top 25 and tournament team every year. Have you watched college bball before Coach L got here?

A top 25 team every year? Might want to do some research. Been watching UM basketball since Foster. Once again we are still an above average team at best.

Basically yes, and they have been to 18 tournaments. What exactly is wrong with them? We won the ACC which is stacked every year. I agree we are above average with nice upside. I don't think we will ever be elite, we may have runs a couple of years.

Basically?

They have been to the tournament 18 times since 1944 that means they have missed the tournament 53 times.

As I mentioned before and you are agreeing we are not Elite , we are above average.

I hope we are great in BBall, but people need to temper their expectations just a touch.

If recruiting is all about relationships then how'd we close with so many of Folden's recruits after he got fired, and how'd we not get a bunch of the dudes Rick and Brown were recruiting to UGA in 2016?

Why can't Rum get any Heritage kids if it's all about relationships? Who had a closer relationship to all those dudes than their own HC?
