OT: matt eberflus Chicago bears clock management

Let the reader understand: the number of head coaches who are good at clock management near the end of a game or half is very, very few.

Caleb was *** with clock management to but his HC had to cover for him there and call a TO. Our no kneel was epic bad but the refs had to help out to make it the bone head play it was. The refs aint had to help here, the Bears just doing Bear things. Caleb had 35 seconds bruh with the play already out (pause).....but f it I always say if you aint going to win it all position yourself in the draft for the fastest turn around. But they may be selecting a qb in two years again so who knows.

It was something to behold as time ran out

You will have to watch the last 2 minutes of the game to appreciate the insanity of those final minutes, but I'll try to give a break down.

ASU was winning 28-23 late in the 4th quarter. They had the ball at BYU 10 yard line with 3 minutes left. BYU forced them into a 4th and 1 with 2:30 left. ASU went for it instead of kicking a FG, and got stopped short. I don't necessarily disagree with that call. So far, nothing too crazy. BYU now has the ball deep in their own territory with ASU still up by 5.

BYU started driving down the field. They got into ASU territory with just over a minute left, but threw an interception, which was ran back to the BYU 7 yard line. This is when it started getting stupid. ASU now has it 1st and goal at BYU 7 with 1:04 to go. BYU still has 2 of their time outs.

1st down. ASU runs up the middle for 4 yards. Time out #2 BYU. 2nd down n goal at BYU 3, 58 seconds. Again, nothing crazy here. Pretty standard. Now the madness begins.

2nd down. ASU qb intentionally runs backwards 26 yards to burn off some time. Almost fumbles in the process. Time out #3 BYU. Now its 3rd and goal at BYU 29, 52 seconds left.

3rd down. ASU qb intentionally runs backwards again, losing 10 more yards. Now its 4th n goal at BYU 39, with 7 seconds left.

4th down. ASU somehow gets two delay of game penalties in a row. Costing them another 10 yards. Now its 4th and goal at BYU 49. ASU finally runs a play. Their qb runs back and throws the ball in the air, but out of bounds. Ball goes out of bounds with 1 second on the clock, giving the ball to BYU with 1 second left. Fan's think the game is over and storm the field. Takes several minutes to get them off the field. Reviews clearly show there is a full second left when ball falls incomplete out of bounds.

Hard to believe a team can go from 1st and goal at 7 yard line with 1 minute left, to 4th and goal at midfield and still have time on the clock. Anyway, BYU has 1 second to run a play.

BYU throws a Hail Mary and its somehow completed, but it's caught 3 yards shy of the end zone.
Described to a T and still didn’t include him going berserk cause it was a second left on the clock

Yes, I forgot to add that he was acting worse than a petulant child during that process of the official review, then went total nuts when they confirmed 1 second left. I was hoping someone would punch him in the face. That was some unacceptable behavior by him.
