OT: Last Chance U by Netflix left me speechless

It seemed to me as though Coach Stephens was portrayed unfairly at times. He's a good man. He cares about his players and does right by them. You can take that to the bank.

GTFOH, dudes a fat red neck loud mouth. Yea, he cares so much that he bad mouthed a player with a concussion.

**** that fat imbred ******

Nah they portrayed him in his 100% true self. You can't be cursing up a storm then go into a prayer. Dude was in the car talking bout peace and can't no one take that from him and he's changed and as soon as he was tested went right back into the same tirade and acting. Dude is also a hypocrite going at them boys like that when he had just been suspended for going off the handle over a spot call.

His coaches lost respect for him after that brawl too. The looks he was getting was priceless. I also feel the dude they made coach in waiting will be a better coach

The coach in waiting is a better coach. The head coach is more of a goldenesque boot camp drill Sargent. However, these specific kids are so bad following directions they need that type of discipline.

I for one think the U could and should find a position for Ms. Wagner. Just imagine if we had her working closely with Willie Williams, Eddie Johnson, Alex Fig, etc. I'd have her shadowing Mullins right now. My guess is that she will be working at Miss State or Auburn very soon.

It's not just academic advisors and tutors.
It's having someone on their butts making sure they see the tutors, go to classes, stay out of trouble, etc.

This was a awesome series. Eye opening on so many levels. It was hard to watch how some of this kids had so much talent and yet were allowed to **** it away in the school system before them. How they were allowed to pass 8th grade is beyond me.

Hard to understand some of these kids backgrounds. coming from a 2 parent middle class home and a father who was teacher and a coach I can not understand how these kids think. It is really what divides this country. People who grew up thinking hour to hour and meal to meal, and people growing up with plans for college, and family, and career and retirement. Men who leave their children to survive with out them will be judged accordingly.

This team lived and died by the great Wr's. Those guys were large and fast.

Franklin is a frontrunner. Auburn saw what they wanted to see. Kid could not beat our an intramural Mississippi St QB.

The smartest kid was the white QB. The kid knew what he was and took the smart route. The kid will be paying taxes and more taxes sooner than anyone else in the series. He will be successful.

The head coach is a blowhard and a redneck. loses his cool and was shown at his worst. Thumped the Bible and then threw around F bombs. But something all need to realize. The guy built a program that won 3 titles with kids who leave every year or two. A program in place where there are people who are very good at what they do. The guy seems to let them do their jobs. And the guy is coaching a team full of diverse kids. The guy could coach D-II in the Midwest and only coach white kids if he wanted to. But he keeps a job where is livelihood depends on black kids getting educated and working for a team.

I heard that some do not like how the man has prayer and reads the Bible. I say that those do not understand what Christianity is all about. Christ is not for the pure. It is for the sick. It is for the hypocrites. It is for the people who are broken. The man knows he is not perfect. The man went back to the kids and admitted he was wrong for what he said to them after the fight. The guy has issues and I know that I would not want my kid to play for him. But I got to give credit to a man who knows he is blemished and keeps on building year after year.
