Opening line: FSU -12

Can we not start that again this season...

People on here pushed that same narrative of "I want FSU undefeated when we play", but why?

I know, I know "strength of schedule", but the reality is SOS doesn't matter when you're Power 5 school & marquee program.

If you handle your business & just win the games, they'll put you where you need to be, the old BCS days of going undefeated & still not getting the vote are over. No, we are NOT going undefeated this season, but that's not even the point I'm making...

For me it's pretty simple, I don't want to see FSU win, I don't care how it makes the conference look, the ACC has 2 National title appearances since the new playoff format was started & has been a participant in it every single year.

Winning the ACC is a 100% guarantee into the CFB Playoffs, we're not the Pac-12 or the Big XII, we don't need any parlor tricks to get in if we handle our business & in 2018 you'll see that happen.

But basically, **** FSU, I don't want them to win ****, they're a rival & them winning only helps their program.

They've beaten us 7x in a row, maybe just maybe we shouldn't be rooting for them to beat Bama, maybe we should hope our hated rivals lose.

That's one way to look at it but I rather have them thinking their playing for something bigger then squash all their hopes and dreams especially since they're on their high horse with this win streak.. I also hate anything SEC and Bama related

FSU has some major questions on offense other than QB. Pretty much the opposite of us.

Both defenses are going to be legit as **** though. Their QB showed his toughness last year but he's going to need someone other than Cook to bail him out.

It would take a miracle for us to beat them with Rosier at QB. I think Perry will give us a good chance though.

If Akers aint the real deal they r fuqed
I don't see any WRs that should strike fear in our secondary either.

There OL is sus as **** too and therer WRs aint scaring anyone............If Akers aint who they think he is they have nothing on offense. I especially dont think you can beat us just by passing and letting kools guys pin there ears back. We have to focus on stopping the run first and if it doesnt require a blitz early fsu is in trouble as far as offense goes. There D is legit though..........its going to be one of those tight games regardless. Its good they play bama early we will get a good look at there run game against a stout front 7 and if they cant run there without bama bring the house we can relax n just rush 4 but I know Diaz will bring the heat at times.
I'm with you brother.

Their D is flat out legit on paper though and as much as I love Walton, he isn't going to have any running room if Rosier is our QB. Ahmmon could make plays like Coley did against them the last couple years but someone has to get him the ball. We just can't be one dimensional and expect to go in there and win though, unless we get some TOs and special teams.

A big play by Jeff Thomas would do nicely.

FSU and Bama have both been stealing South Florida recruits. Looks better to knock off #1 on the road, then to beat a team we could potentially be ranked ahead of. ACC has won some big games over the past few years, that's why you think that we're a lock to go to the playoff if we win it. It wasn't long ago that the ACC was the laughingstock of college football. FSU beating Bama is better for our program in the big picture.

Let's see how the OL looks before we look at the game line. Without an OL all bets are off or on for FSU. Lets just hope the young savages can grow up quickly...

I agree with this thats why its hard to see a win with a new qb.......but we definitley mqy play them again if we take care of the rest of the schedule assuming our qb play is decent

That is a CRAZY line.

It's Miami vs FSU. That game is always close

That going to be a fourth quarter slugfest, and it'll come down to the final possession. The game will be decided by 1 to 3 points, imo.

Let's be honest, this game could easily get ugly with our QB situation.

Maybe not 1995 or 1997 ugly, but a 12 point loss isn't out of the question unless you're a homer on steroids.

Our defense is waay to good for this game to get ugly. Our defense is good enough to win the game by its ****-self; I feel strongly about that, especially since Dalvin isn't suiting up.

We just need a QB to limit turnovers. If that happens, I feel good about our chances, even on the road.

It depends if we go into the game turning the ball over, putting our defense in bad situations things could get ugly, If we make less mistakes and a few things bounce our way.....IE calls, turnovers, we could win. Their secondary is better than ours on paper, front 7 is about equal. Both our Olines weren't that good last year, they QB will be better, our WRs are unproven besides Richards, their WRs is unproven besides Murray, We have a solidified starter at running back, they have a talented new comer. Look at the match ups, it's all about the match ups.

If we go into that game with a messy QB situation it could very easily wind up a 2 TD or worse game. FSU is a notorious front-running program. When they smell blood they run it up. Likewise, they are quick to quit when things are going the other way ( see the Louisville game from last year; see also UNC where their defense completely quit).

Too early to have logical line on game. A lot of things can happen until we play FSU. FSU preseason picked as top 5 team. We are picked at about 20. Therefore line has some merit. I would like to know what line is on FSU-Bama game. That spread may reveal what handicappers think of FSU talent.

I will say this, we have a decent shot to win if our DL dominates their OL the way they should.

Even in 1989 when Toretta started and we did everything wrong we hung around largely because of that great DL.

After taking a few days to think about it, I have loaded up on FSU -12. This is free money. 30-10 Noles

This proves you're a troll and a liar.

Nobody would load up on the Noles -12, when that line will almost certainly go down.

If you want to bet on the Noles, you wait. If you want to put money on the canes you jump in now.

You're either lying or the worst gambler ever.

Rivalry game, last 3 games decided by 10 points combined, and defense dominated game. 12 is a big line. Canes with the points.
