Next years class will probably be in the 16/17 range and thats if we don't get hammeed with schollie reductions. We have to be down to 85 this year and we'll probably end up with 12-13 sr's. Figure a couple jr's at most leave early and maybe they ask a few extra kids to find a new home and that gives us 16/17. Maybe take an extra 1 or 2 assuming 1 might not get in due to grades.

On a side note - We'll probably be taking a kicker or punter next year. Botts and Wieclaw will both be sr's right?

I don't get why people think we're going to be so tight next year.

Seniors this coming year: RRA, VT, Highsmith, McGee, R. Buch, Holton, B. Jones, J. Lewis, K. Thompkins, D. Johnson, Calhoun, M. James, Botts, Wieclaw (14)

Juniors this coming year who may not be back for the following year: Cornileus, Payne, Rodgers, Cain, Gains, S. Green, L. Rob, Dye, C. White (9)

Guys who could go pro early: S. Henderson (1)

Right there that's 24 potential spots. Now some kids won't get in, some will leave we don't expect. We'll sign 22+ I'd expect.

I don't believe Highsmith is a Sr right? So you have 13 seniors and I figured Seantrel could leave early so then you have 14 open. I doubt we end up at exactly 85... say maybe 83 (these are all just guesses at this point) that gives us 2 more... 16. And maybe you have a couple of transfers so I could see it as high as 20 but I don't see how we get close to 24.

Isn't Golden going to have to get quite a few kids to transfer this year just to get down to the 85 or below... and if he does do that (which I don't believe he has a choice) many of the juniors you name that won't be back the following year may already be gone.

I'm just explaining how people are thinking the class will be small.

IMO I also don't see how we don't get at least 3-4 scholarship reduction per year... but thats just me not trying to be blind sided. Maybe we get less, hopefully we get less...

So if we can manage to somehow get to 20 or so spots 13 srs, 1 jr leaving early and 6 transfers... and we lose 3 or 4 we are back down to 16/17 again. Pretty much everything is a guess or assumption at this point but thats where I came up with my guess of a class of 16/17.
