The real question is…does he sign on esd or is this a recruitment that goes into the second signing window.

I haven’t followed along with this all too much.

Yeah I mean if he is signing on ESD very odd plan by us to plan to host him after ESD LOL

Unless of course we have been give assurances on where he will signing that day

for 20 years I have heard our fans say they want a great recruiter. we finally get a guy who's obsessed with recruiting and who saban has acknowledged is a great recruiter and now they want something else.

Btw, after today I dont want to hear Kiffen's name come up again. this fetish some people on here have with this guy is a joke. Hes a 3-4 loss a year coach who uses the portal because he's too lazy to recruit. he's the same guy who you to hide in florida fishing when saban thought he was out recruiting.
Not to fully cover for him but he will NEVER be able to compete like he has in the sec west without using the portal.

Ole Miss aint that type of program and never has been they always use to have transfers and use the juco systems and that is from my hs era.

Every game they lost their qb Jaxon Dart has basically thrown the game sh*t is crazy. The kid flat out ****es down his leg maybe the moment gets to big for him or something but the two losses i have watch dude was out there like Kirby Freeman.

Kiffin and Cristobal are around the same tier as HC's i have Kiffin a bit ahead of Mario though still.

But im fully enjoying this szn Mario brought to me except the week i decided to spend thousands to lose in a sh*tty gt stadium lol

Honestly though unless Wiley was dead set on ONE place he wanted to be, why sign early? I am pretty sure pops has flat out said a few times he just started getting recognition this year and he wanted to enjoy the process. He is shooting up charts and boards, I think he has a spot at a number of top destinations regardless of when he signs, i.e. he wont be a kid left out in the cold or a sorry, we are full, especially with no more IC limits or the 85 cap. Maybe if a team has 2 5* backers signed they may say thanks no thanks but he 100% can wait, get a few more visit checks, maybe bid the price up a bit for NIL, I just dont see much upside for him in signing early unless he just is over the process and his mind is set.

I dont have him ahead of Mario. Mario has won conference titles, Lane hasn't won anything.

Correct. Lane is so overhyped its not even funny. He got a lot of attention early in his coaching career because he has a big mouth. He has been a disappointment pretty much everywhere he has been. I am not sure what some here see in him.
Just look at his results this year and tell me what is so amazing about their season outside of upsetting UGA.
He is a good OC and that is about it.

UK and UF almost beat UGA.

Kiffin also went 10-2 in 2011, USC was under sanctions because of Reggie Bush (nothing to do with Kiffin). Banned from post season. Would have played in the pac12 championship game. Don’t know if they would have won, Ducks were pretty good that year.

People also forget that Oregon only played in the pac12 championship in 2021 due to the entire Huskies team having COVID. Oregon was a mediocre 4-3 with some egregiously bad losses. What Diaz did at UM that season was more impressive, and if the ACC doesn’t bend over to let Notre Dame in the ACC, guess what teal would have played Clemson for the ACC championship?

If Cristobal gets credit for winning the pac12 in 2020, I think we should also count Al Golden winning the ACC coastal by virtue of North Carolina being banned from postseason. UM declined to play because it was self imposing penalties, but could have played in the game if it had chosen to.

TLDR

Cristobal has had 1 season total where he made it to the pac12 championship game based purely on team’s performance and didn’t need a bio-engineered Chinese super virus to eliminate the competition.

we could hire Nick Saban and everyone would start discounting his national titles.

Saban bought them all. He has zero legit titles. Butch Davis has 3 natties. UM should have been in the title game in 2000 and we would have won easily, 2001 was of course his title, and 2002 we would have beaten OSU if he had been coaching instead of Clappy, he wins that one too.

He had all those toys to play with at bama that’s why. Pause. A lot of coaches look great coaching a Saban roster. It was an intervention for coaches to land another gig. Who would not coach that roster? You would have to be a fool not to

Is this going to be the new pitch? that g-5 C-USA titles are more impressive than two Pac-12 titles?

Assuming Ole miss beats Mississippi State- If Ole Miss wins its bowl game,
That would mean in 5 of the last 8 seasons, Kiffin had 10 or more wins.

That is impressive. Especially given he inherited horrendous teams.
