Saddens me to say, but I think you're kinda rightLegendary player.
Seems like a diva weirdo post-retirement.

That's a little harsh bro. Dude is just figuring things out. Has made some poor choices. He'll be aight.Legendary player.

they aren't. it's explicitly a non-coaching role. now, the whole thing about feedback i don't doubt for a second because manny is a thin-skinned *****.I thought Chief of Staffs weren't allowed to coach?
also, he got offered an HC gig (at a level where Deion started following his HS coaching career) and he said no so I call BS on wanting to be an HC.
He was a mascot here under Diaz. I hated it. Great player, but to just have him walking around doing nothing was just part of the comical show Diaz had going here. Reed should have known he was being used.Legendary player.

And at this level (or the level UM is trying to reach), it's a 24/7 grind to get on top and stay on top.I love Ed, he's my favorite player but he just isn't going to grind at this point as a coach.
Who didn't know that???I can tell you when he was here he was most definitely giving feedback and advice to players. This was a part time gig.
Ed Reed would be the best db coach in college football
And yet he supposedly turned down a HC job.
Good luck with that.Dude aiming a little higher than Grambling State. Nothing wrong with that.
And yet he chose to stay when he could have left the situation.A quick note on the GOAT.
- Ed does want to be a HC. That is accurate.
- Ed was used as a Christmas tree ornament by Manny & Co. solely for recruiting purposes and he was never happy with that role.
- Ed was not allowed to coach in any way or even provide key feedback to players on performance by Manny.
- Ed felt marginalized by Manny and that arrangement was blessed by Blake James.
- It is likely that Ed won’t come back as of right now.
We should be thanking Ed and his love for the program while dealing with all of this political bullshat.
All this is as of yesterday morning. Will share updates as they roll in.
Ed should never have accepted the role if that is true. By doing so he essentially enabled Manny and his failed regime. He got paid and good on him. But not sure what I am thanking him for.A quick note on the GOAT.
