OL Max Buchanan commits to Miami

LMAO that was a good one. Norvell such a trash recruiter with only 11 commits. He seems to be allergic to recruiting 3 star kids, its either we get 4-5 stars or hit the portal is the Norvell plan
You have to be genuine and be a people person and a family type that keeps it 100. Those are usually the best recruiters. Mike can’t relate kids don’t flock to him and there is a reason for it. We had plenty of x coaches like that, that would get one or two kids that can’t make a difference cause they by themselves.

Buchanan is unnaturally mature for his age.
Buchanan, Scroggins and Nix all sound like future captains when they speak. Where in the world is Mario finding these guys.

He does a ton of research on the kids.

Talks to parents, friends, teachers, counselors , community members.

We have a huge support staff now that does a ton of this.

It’s the Nick Saban recruiting model. Character is #1 when recruiting these guys

These are the kind of kids that have kept UGA and Bama at the top of the college football world for the last 5-6 years. Especially on the OL. Has a 5* attitude with 5* talent to boot. We will definitely win a natty soon if we keep loading up on these types.

Infighting from one sec team to the next & ESPN is what's kept them on top of the college football world. Just look at the rankings right now if you need further example. Like 6 of the top 7 teams are sec teams & probably 3 of them deserve to be that high. To be clear I don't think we should be this high yet either so y'all don't think it's just a bias. But UGA,bama, Tennessee,LSU,Mizzou, etc (other than Tennessee) have looked very basic at quite a few moments this year. Yet they use wins or losses to justify the rankings. Well what exactly should happen if they play the girls YMCA 3 times a year for out of conference(**** near impossible to even struggle in those games)and then nothing but a bunch of conference games? How do you then judge accurately what parody there is accross NCAA? You don't. Then you force feed all these different narratives to the media about sec dominance. Who exactly are they dominating other than other lower tier sec squads?

You mean shoulder rubs don't attract you to a male coach when you're 18 and raging with testosterone?

They've had the best bowl record (more so before everyone started sitting for bowls as 70% of them no one seems to give a **** about), the best OOC record, and the largest number of pros for a long-time…Do they lose? Yes... Do they get upset? Yes…Are some years they more of the "co" best conference instead of the clear #1 dominant conference like they are in other years? Yes

What other factors would you have them use to determine or use as tiebreakers? Ooc record, bowl/big bowl record, NFL talent?

Big difference between competence and dominance. Past that I'm not here to change your mind skeet.

Just off week to week performance, the only SEC teams that look as good as Miami so far are ole Miss and Tennessee. Once the season plays out, it will be interesting to see if a 9-win SEC team beats out an 11-win team from another conference for a playoff spot. Feels likely.

Mario’s 2023 class was impressive to me not just from a talent perspective, but when you would see interviews and hear the kids talk

Also made sense they all stuck it out after a disastrous season that year
